The next morning Stefano's bodyguards bring back news that the house back in Hatfield has been shot at.

We listened in on the conversation as we all sat around the dining table for breakfast.

"Was anyone hurt?" Stefano exhales slowly as his eyes grow wild with anger.

"More security guards have been injured, but no serious injuries were sustained," the bodyguard says.

Stefano exhales as he asks, "Anything else we need to know about?"

"They left an envelope with a message for you. It reads, 'We've given you what you want, now give us what we want,' " the man continues as he holds the envelope up to Stefano.

He grabs it and crumples it immediately.

He exhales and looks at Susanne.

"Logan should be back any time. Jayden, Enzo and Ethan, I expect you to be ready in about 20 minutes. We'll meet outside and our head of security will brief us," Stefano announces, he voice low and firm.

Jayden quietly eats a bit of his breakfast but takes the rest with him upstairs.

Enzo and Leigh spend the whole of breakfast chatting quietly, joking around, just being cute.

I wouldn't say I envy them but it would be nice to be looked at the way he looks at her.

The lovely couple arise from the table and excuse themselves.

Leigh winks at me and does a sleeping motion, telling ne that's she's going to take a nap.

Ethan takes Peighton and Lani up to Peighton's room, while Stefano and Susanne go out to the car to speak to the head of security.

My mother leaves for her room, saying she'll have the next few days off, so she'll probably just take a nap and try to rest as much as she can.

I'm left alone at the dining table with my thoughts.

It's about time I choose my poison, but if I'm being honest, neither Logan nor Ethan are in the running for being chosen anymore.

I dont even think I'm in the running for being chosen by them either.

I sigh and play around with whatever is left of my breakfast on my plate.

I hear footsteps approaching and turn to see Logan sauntering into the dining room.

"Hey Logan, " I say as I smile brightly at him.

"Hey, princess," he says and leans in, pecking my cheek.

I immediately smell the alcohol on his breath.

He hugs me and slowly starts running his hands up my abdomen, and I stop them before they reach my chest.

"Logan, you've been drinking," I sigh as I try to pry his firm hands off me.

"I don't need to be drunk to know that I want to take you right here on this table," he breathes as he plants sloppy kisses on my neck and shoulders.

I struggle as I try to get out of his grip and says sternly, "Let go of me Logan. You're drunk."

His one hand begins to slither down my torso, and he attempts to worm his way into my sweatpants.

"Logan, stop. Please," I struggle as I feel more and more uncomfortable.

"I know you want me, Nandi. Let's just ditch this whole thing and start afresh," he mutters, his voice a tad domineering and low.

"No, Logan. Stop this now," I begin as my voice cracks a bit.
