They applauded when I finished speaking at the United Nations. They called me brave. They called me powerful. They did not know the girl I used to be. Born in Lagos to a Rwandan father and a Burundian mother, I grew up learning one lesson early: being female is not neutral. From Lagos to Kaduna to Kano, the geography changed, but the violence did not. Men touched what was not theirs. Silence was sold to me as protection. Shame was offered as survival. This is a story of a girl who was assaulted more times than she can count the letters of her name but refused to disappear. The Gender In Me is a raw, intimate novel blending experience and fiction to expose gender based violence, stolen childhoods, and the cost of silence. It is also a story of becoming, rising from anonymity to global advocacy. from fear to voice. from pain to purpose. This book is for the girls who were told not to talk. For the women who learned to survive quietly. For anyone who believes truth, once spoken, can change everything.

Do you know what it's like to lose control? To spend every single day being pushed to the ground. Losing all hope of getting back up. Feeling broken and different. Feeling weak and unloved. Having so much to say but no voice. I no longer feel things. Looking in the mirror and hating what I see and I'm scared. Getting used to all the pain. The awful memories going through my mind over and over again. I'm not perfect, I'm as damaged and broken as the rest of the world and that's me. Until he comes along.

"nobody was meant to be free, in a world of lies" Adrian Dawson is an eighteen year old girl with a psychopathic father and a mother she hasn't seen in twelve years, at least that's only what a few people know. Elizabeth Frey is an eighteen year old head cheerleader that has the perfect life, except it's not really hers. Adrian Dawson is different, but not because she can move water with her mind or the like, but because she is a normal person in a world of "zombies". Saving herself and the ones she loves, being with the love of her life, escaping the "utopia" she's been trapped in, saving her real life from the pretend life she's living and saving an entire town from the manipulation they've been living under is a very breathtaking and risky challenge to face. Will she be able to do it all? Unesu was only 19. A bright first year university student with dreams as bold as her voice, and a passion for justice that lit up every room she entered. But one ordinary afternoon, on a routine trip to the post office, she vanished, leaving behind silence, questions, and a nation outraged. Set in the heart of Cape Town, Am I Next? is a gripping and haunting account of a young woman's brutal fate at the hands of a man shaped by violence and shame. As her friends and family launch a desperate search, the country watches, and the cry for justice grows louder. In a society reeling with the epidemic of gender based violence, this novel is not just a story- it is a mirror. it is a plea. It is a movement. Will justice prevail, or will Unesu become another forgotten name in a long line of lost daughters?
