Chapter 6

What am I gonna do? God please save me! I prayed silently. 

'Hey! hurry up didi! your boss is waiting for you!' Muskaan kept shouting.

'Umm.. just give me 5 minutes!' Oh god! Pinky I wish you were here! Pinky would have definitely come up with an idea. I dialed her number but unfortunately it was switched off.

'God I'm getting late! Good bye!' Muskaan shouted. Really? Is she gonna leave? Thank god! She won't be here for another few hours. I am safe.

'Umm.. my sister is still dressing up! Please take a seat. I gotta go. Nice meeting you Mr. Khemka.. oops no Khurana!' Muskaan left home.

Maan was all alone in the living room. There were several photographs of Geet & her family members but there was not a single photograph of her with her fiance. Maan kept staring at her home. It was beautiful, kept neat & tidy though it was a small apartment.

I hurried & dressed up. For the first time I put on the baby bump to meet Maan sir. It wasn't that much big, it surely looked like a 3 months old one. I looked from the mirror many times to assure that I look okay. 

Keep your heads up Geet! you can face this. I took a deep breath & went to the living room. Maan sir was turning pages of a magazine. Poor him! he had to wait for such a long time. 

'Hi sir.' I greeted him.

'Geet?' He gave a surprising look. 

Oh god I hope it doesn't look fake. Please help me to overcome this troublesome situation.

'Umm sir? you here?' 

'Surprised?' Maan sir winked.

'Umm..'

'Why? don't you like?'

'Umm.. no sir. I'm... I mean surprised to see you here.'

'Well I heard you're unwell. So thought of coming. Didn't you get my messages?'

'Oh sorry sir, I haven't checked my mobile lately.'

'So how have you been?'

'Uh.. I'm fine sir.'

'You look much different' Maan sir winked.

'Umm.. you too sir. Haven't seen you before like this.'

'Haha  yeah in casual wear.' He chuckled.

'So which one you like the most? Office or casual wear?' Maan sir winked.
