"I mean, you should go. This was always gonna be your trip, right? Maybe when you get back, we can see where we're at." James said standing up trying his best not to let the woman down too much as he knew she's dreamed of this trip almost her whole life and even though he did just break up with her he would hate himself to ruin her dream trip, after all he wasn't evil.

"I already know where I'm at, so..." Y/n said with a harsher undertone as she grabbed her planner/schedule standing up and pushing in her chair its legs causing an unsettling noise against the floor and she promptly walked off.

Of course James watched as she walked away but she suddenly stopped and turned back around causing James to clear his throat and awkwardly look away as she walked back over grabbing her purse that she had forgotten. Of course just her luck it was caught on a chair leg as she pulled on the purse it moved the chair causing her to groan as James just awkwardly started at her about to offer a helping hand before she finally got it unstuck and swiftly walked away now a bit embarrassed by that whole ordeal.

"Hi." Y/n answered her phone that had been ringing for quite some time after the whole break up incident. Y/n just wanted to be left to be miserable on her own; her whole trip plans changed just off of this one event. Just what would she do now, should she stay.. or go. She still wasn't sure.

"Hey, Y/n." Y/n all too well known best friend's voice spoke from the other end of the phone into her ear. Y/n got up off the couch and started to walk around while on the phone, a habit she's had for awhile.

"How you doin'?" Lola voiced through the phone, as she was the first to know about the break up and checking up on her friend was the first thing she could think to do when her heartbroken friend texted her the news.

"The same as the last time you checked on me five minutes ago." The tired (H/c) female said clearly not as amused as she was the first time her friend called.

"Yeah, well, I'm worried about you." Lola said with a more hushed and gentle tone, making sure her care for her friend was known.

"Heartbreak is the worst." Y/n whined slightly to her friend, her pacing around the room only quickend as she randomly started to pick up items lying around her apartment.

"Yeah. How bad is it? On a scale from one to Adele?" Her oh so humorous friend asked from the other end of the phone. She just wanted Y/n to feel a bit better and not so down in the dumps.

"I'll be okay." Y/n replied. Besides, if she was still going to go on this trip she'd have to get over this sooner rather than later. And she had already had her cry fest with sappy romance movies and ice cream.

"Really." Lola obviously wasn't believing her friend for a second of course she wouldn't pressure the woman into voicing her true feelings, especially not right now when she was already stressed.

"Well, you can call me anytime, okay?" The latino Quickly asked Y/n just wanting her friend to know she'd be there for her always!

"I will." Y/n sighed through the phone already hearing Lola tell her that many times over again.

"Love you." Y/n said just trying to end the call already having decided to go on her dream trip still even if it wasn't with someone romantic. This was her dream and no one could ruin that for her.

"Love you more!" Lola yelled back happily now knowing she's helped motivate her friend even if it was just a little it was still something!

"Bye." Y/n said with a small chuckle at her friend's excitement. Lola then hung up and turned to her roomate with a smirk.
