Chapter 1

That day played out like any other I was out in the garden playing picnic with my dolls I sang and told them lots of fun stories and we drank lots of pretend tea. When I noticed clouds turning purple, a storm was coming. I heard mom's footsteps and I knew picnic time was coming to an end, she came and as expected ends tea time, I refused to go inside. When she said 'Hanna sweet heart, u have to go inside a storm is coming plus don't you want to clean up before daddy get home' yay daddy's coming home I yield in joy and excitement. Quickly picking up my cups spoons and all in doll in to the picnic basket. I rush inside with a huge smile on my face cause it been a while since in saw dad. He was the alpha and a well-respected leader in our werewolf community. Dad can be scary something but only to bad guys that tries to hurt us, at home his a big softy that gives the biggest hugs.

I got cleaned up by Joyce my nanny, she is pretty old, she has grey hair an wrinkly skin but her eyes are deep ocean blue and they look kind probable cause she is so nice and I love her she always gives me candy, she is just like my grand ma except dads parents are late so is mom there died in a rouge attack years before I was born.

No sooner am done and I hear dads voice and I rush down stairs and jump on him as he catch's me and spins me around and around until I almost pass out ,then he hugs me and calls me princess. We get inside and mom comes out and hugs dad to telling him how much she misses him and was worried about him. Dinner is set mom and Joyce dished out our food. We all sat on the table and I can see mom has my plate packed with veggies 'I don't want it mama 'I complain 'Hanna don't be naughty. Eat your veggies .there are good for your health, and if you don't eat them you would be short and ugly 'she said rushing my veggies in to my mouth, my face said it all my clear distastes and hatred for veggies. Dad looks at me rushing my veggies and I see him struggling to contain his laughter, but he does a good job at holding it so I won't cry.

We are finally done with dinner and mom and Joyce picks up the dishes while me and dad went to the patio and we star at the stars and he tell me how the ten parks got there name from it .I became sleepy and dad picked me up and took me upstairs to my bed and tucks me in with my best doll tony and I slowly began to drift off.

I can barely remember because I was asleep but I heard noises coming from mom and dad's room.

Mary-am so sorry and I know you were worried but thoes rouges are almost out of control

Chis I know the pack comes first but don't you want to spend any time with your daughter before she finds her mate and you know moves out.

Sweetie that still a long time I think we have about ten more years before that happens. "you mean 8 she 10, and you would have known that if you were around" she said. "I understand you so this evening is going to be us just you, and me. am going to dispatch the guards and inform brad that I'm going to be switching off my phone so any problem that might arise he should take care of it himself now how does that sound.  "ok" Mary replied smiling

Walking into Hanna's room, giving her a kiss goodnight, Mary quietly withdraws from the room so as not to wake Hanna.

Looks could talk and Mary's face said it all, her love for Hanna and chis, they where the only family she had left. The night was getting colder and the wind was blowing, gently sweeping Mary hair backward, it getting late honey let go to bed. Alright, chis said gently placing a kiss on her forehead has there walked up the stairs together. Being a werewolf heightens your séances, but been alpha doubles it. Which was why chis noticed the slight movement going on outside the house .Mary go upstairs immediately get Hanna and stay in the panic room. The panic room was meant for attacks but it was never really used caused nobody dared to attack the alpha family it was treason. What going on chis? I think we are under att...

Chis could barely get the word out when a brown fur rouge with red eyes came crashing towards him. He knew the rouge situation was getting worse but he never knew, that it was to the point of attacking the alpha house and why did nobody sound the alarm there must be a mole that let them in and showed them the way. Chis was strong but not enough to fight off this many rouges they kept tearing his flash left and right and not giving him enough time to heal, suddenly the fear of losing his mate grip his heart, when he saw a rouge holding Mary by her neck with his sharp claws dug into it .stop or I will ripe her filthy neck out. Immediately Chris froze unable to do anything. His mate life was in danger; he would lose this fight a dozen times over to keep Mary safe.

with his hands raised to the air, the rouges began to attack all at once, tears fell from Mary heart as she watched her mate been torn apart. She sent a silent prayer to the heavens that Hanna heard the alarm she tap before the rouges got to her, and hoping that she remembers her safety protocol.

Please stop I would do anything you want just please let us go.

.....the sound of Mary being hit by the rouge echo loud as he pushed her straight to the floor. Just when Mary could hold chis hands the answers to the question there have all been asking walked through the door. The mole, if Chis was not seeing this he would not be believing it .how could he? How could his own beta, his own best friend betray him like that. Why? Chis asked

..."oh shut up, enough delay kill them both already". He ordered where is that little brat? were is she? He roared." find her". Bard I swear if u touch my daughter you would pay. Mary said, and just how would I pay  Brad replied with a slay grin on his face  'when I end your family blood line and become alpha, no one would dare challenge me .you see my dear friend I have lived in your shadow for far too long it my turn to shine'. Bard said laughing evilly Boss we can't find her we have checked every where she can't just despair find her" A ray of hope shinned in Mary's heart knowing that her daughter is safe and help would soon come and the traitor will be dealt with, you know what we are running out of time kill them already and start with her he said pointing at Mary. Struggling to save his mate, chis roared and brought fought his claws and clawed out the traitors face making sure it would leave a scare to show the whole world what a traitor he was, simultaneously the rouge pulled Mary's heart out, ripping the life out of her, they say the loss of a mate, is a pain  almost unbearable but nothing in all his years of being an alpha prepared him for such excruciating pain.

He fell to his knees, slowly reaching out through the blood pile towards his now-dead wife, and in that brief moment of weakness the enemy struck and punching a fist full in to his chest,ripping out his heart. With bloody hands brad dropped the heart on the floor.

Taking  a blow to the head from the rouges to divert suspicion from him as he sounded the alarm, and fell to the floor, in a bid to act injured .why the rouges fled the pack.
