These hands carried a gun in war, and they carried his comrades back to base to be shipped home. He brought them back, and his hands were soaked with their blood, and his clothing was dyed red. Those hands helped starving children and brought them to safety even if it may risk his cover. Gunpowder smell came from his hands from holding his weapon for too long, and these hands had a litter of white, and red scars crisscrossing over his skin. They are no longer young, and callus free, but are worn and so very tired. These hands write in a small journal and tell of his battles that have past and those yet to come. These hands are tired of carrying a gun and being in war.
