I love you, I say in the darkness, but you always never hear. I scream I love you, but my voice never reaches you. I tear my throat raw, and tears cascade down my face, begging you to look back, and notice what I'm saying. You never look back. You keep walking forward as if you are deaf, when I know you are not.
I say I love you, and want to walk beside you, and be there for you. You never answer, but the darkness does. The darkness whispers back that they love me, and that I should love them. I do love the darkness, but I love your light more. So, I walk your path of light while the darkness clings at my ankles, and whispers, I love you. I love you forever, even if one day I'll get swallowed by the darkness that loves me back.
The darkness says they love me, and that they'll wait for me in the darkness. Would you care if I let the darkness have me. Would you miss my whispered love yous when I no longer say it. Would you come into the darkness with me or would you not hear or see me like before. I love you, yet you don't hear me, and now I say it from the darkest depth of the darkness that loves me like you never have.
