When the Clock Strikes Midnight

I knock on the door and grab Hailey's hands, nerves running through me. We stand there for a couple of seconds before the door opens. Katie opens the door, smiling at us. She is wearing a black crop top with white high waisted ripped jeans. She has on black converse with white bottoms, and has on her notorious silver hoop earrings. She also has a small ring that has a silver flower on it. She laughs, pulling us into the house.

"I didn't know if you guys were gonna be able to make it! I was so worried! I didn't wanna be here all alone with the guys!" Hailey and I laugh along with Katie, our eyes glistening. We all loop arms and have Katie guide us towards a room. We walk in and I stop, completely stunned by the beauty of the room. It must be some kind of study or family room or something because it's huge and so beautiful. There are bookshelves lining all of the walls, all of them filled to the brim with so many colorful books. I unhook my arms from Hailey and Katie, walking along the bookshelves, running my fingers along the spines of the books. I look up at the ceiling and it is a beautiful dome made out of a gorgeous white and black marble color. I look back down and see a huge brick fireplace, with a fire bristling inside of it. The floor is a carpet that is a dark maroon color with brown dots all over it. I continue looking around the room and see a desk in the corner that I walk over to. The desk is a small desk that has a small little shelf above the actual desk with a lamp that glows the perfect soft golden light down onto the beautiful brown oak desk. I run my fingers along the back of the wooden chair, continuing to walk around the room. My fingers run across fabric and I pause, stepping back. There is a huge window there, with a beautiful maroon curtain covering it. I turn around and see that there are multiple windows lined around the room that have huge maroon curtains hanging in front of them. I look around the room and see multiple sofas and chairs all around the room. There are three sofa's all facing each other, and that's where nearly all of the people are sitting. I walk over to the sofa's, my eyes scanning for Hailey within the crowd. I find her sitting on one of the sofa's with her boyfriend Dave and with Jack and Anthony. Hailey is sprawled across Dave, with her whole upper body laying on his chest and her legs tucked around him. Dave is a baseball player who has completely fallen in love with my best friend. And I completely approve. He is an amazing guy. He has jet black hair and green eyes, which always makes me think of Harry Potter. He is currently wearing a gray hoodie and black jeans, with white shoes to match. Even though all of the colors sound kind of weird together, he makes them work perfectly. Him and Hailey have been dating for about 5 months now, and they are absolutely perfect together. I hope that they get married one day. One negative note is that he is besties with Aaron, but I can't be mad at Dave for that. It's not my fault that Aaron and I broke up. Dave shouts across the room at Veronica, who has just walked in the door.

"Hey Cous! How's it going?!" Veronica blushes a little but waves back, going to sit in the corner with a couple of her friends. Veronica is a very sweet girl. I made a mental note to go and say hi to her later. I go and sit next to Dave and Hailey, turning to face Jack and Anthony. Jack and Anthony are a couple. And they are the cutest gay couple ever. They do everything together. And both of them give off total gay vibes. Anthony is a band kid from our school. He plays the trumpet. And he's very good at it. Right now he is wearing an "Omaha East'' band shirt. Omaha East High School is where all of us go to school. So you can usually see a lot of people wearing shirts from our school. Anthony also has on tan cargo pants, white tennis shoes, and is wearing a black chain necklace that matches with Jack. Jack has on a white "Omaha East '' drama shirt with black sweatpants, white crocs, and a black chain necklace. Jack played one of the leads in our last school musical, Matilda. He played Mr. Wormwood, which was really funny because Jack is the complete opposite of him. Jack is one of the sweetest people ever, and he is actually really shy unless he is in the theater, which is his home, where he loves to be. Anthony usually is in the pit during school musicals, and that's how they met. And it's been true love ever since. Brittany, who is lesbian, is one of their besties, and it's so amazing how all of them are so close. Brittany is your typical blonde. A little on the dumb side, but it really just creates character and makes more people like her. She has platinum blonde hair, and has dazzling blue eyes. She is sitting in a chair right besides Anthony and Jack, so I can clearly see her outfit. She is wearing a white crop top with a pink tennis skirt, with pink Nike shoes. Dragonflies are also kinda her thing, so she is wearing a golden dragonfly necklace and her notorious dragonfly earrings that she wears almost every day. Brittany is very friendly and outgoing, but like I said earlier, not the brightest. But she has always been very attached to her girlfriend, Claire. I look around the room, trying to find Claire. I look towards one of the many tables covered in snacks and see that she is standing at one of them talking to Kevin. Kevin is the typical school nerd, but he is still loved by everyone. Claire has blonde wavy hair, with bluish green eyes. She is wearing a matching outfit with Brittany. She has on a pink crop top and a white tennis skirt, with white Nike shoes to match. Claire has a thing for butterflies, so she has on her notorious silver butterfly necklace and dangling butterfly earrings. Claire is on the speech and debate team with Kevin, so it's not surprising that they are talking. Claire is a Christian and stays very strong in her beliefs. Every time before a meal, she stops to pray, which all of us have learned to respect ever since she was the only one not to get food poisoning during spaghetti day at school. Claire is the shy half of her relationship with Brittany, but Brittany makes up for that by bringing her wherever she goes. Claire starts laughing at something that Kevin said. Kevin is your typical nerd, and he makes sure that everyone knows it. He has a brunette bowl cut, blue eyes, and glasses. He is wearing a white shirt with a red and green sweater vest over it. He is wearing tan cargo pants with brown shoes, which he actually matched perfectly with the rest of his outfit. Like I said earlier, he is in speech and debate with Claire. Which is why our team wins every tournament that they go to. He seems to know how to solve anything without even trying. I turn my attention back to Jack and Anthony, who are having a very in depth conversation about the next school musical. I start listening, trying to figure out exactly what they are talking about.
