8. Chance

Tyquan's pov

As me and my men pull up we heard shots my heart leaped We ran out and saw some of my father's men I aimed for their heads and with my good aim I got them.

as my men and my father's men battle. I ran inside and started to fire on the men inside. I felt somthing hard across my head and I fell. One of my father's men came over me with his gun as he stepped over me I open fire on him.

I ran over to a room where I saw him over khelani I shouted at him and he started to shoot her. I aimed and shot him in his leg and shoulder. 

After I shot him I told my men to do the rest. I picked her up and head to the hospital. She was hardly breathing. I felt like I could not breath either. Her body is next to lifeless she is bleeding all over I can't even tell where and where she got shot. 

She's covered in blood. When we pulled up they rushed outside to us and the rushed her straight to the emergency room. The nurse came to tell me that they had to rush her to surgery and its a 30% chance of her making it.

She told me we had to wait until the surgery is done before there is any more update. I ran through her phone and found amelia and lanny's number. I called them to come to the hospital but did not tell them what happened.

Amelia's pov 

I got a call from Khelani's phone only for me to hear a rough voice telling me to come to the hospital quick. I got so scared I ran out of work without telling anyone anything.

what the hell is happening  

on my way to the hospital alot of thoughts ran through my head. I tried calling lanny and there is no response. 

my heart fell and my stomach felt empty

When I get to the hospital I saw Tyquan and Lanny crying and before I could get to them I saw lanny running to me. 

what's going on? but she was crying so hard she could not answer. I held her up and ran over to tyquan beating on his chest crying asking what's wrong with khelani. 

I slapped him so hard you could hear the impact my hands are leaving on him. 

She was shot he finally said which tore my heart out, by wh- I said and before it could come out I felt like my throat was closing up. my heart started racing and my breathing became irregular. 

The doctor came after seeing that I was having a panic attack and he took me into a room to let me cool of. He did not tell me anything about khelani because he did not want to trigger me more than how I'm triggered. shortly lanny came into my room her eyes were red and swollen, looking like she has been crying for days. 

khelani got 6 shots she said releasing a sigh. When she said that I was so lost for words. she is still in surgery, and she is not in a good condition she continues by saying.

I got out the room to confront tyquan since he brought her here he must know what took place

I will kill him if he has anything to do with this 

Tyquan's pov 

As I watch amelia and lanny coming towards be I felt and I heard amelia scream 

" Wa yuh do to her bombohole a u cause this" 

The feeling that went through my body when she said that had me feeling weird. I tried calming her down, but she used her shoe to slap me in my chest. she went to hit me in my face, but Lanny held her hand telling her that this was uncalled for.

After everything was calming down I saw a call coming from her mother.

Mi cyaah ansa this cause mi nuh want she hate me so early.

I watch as the phone rang for the next 6 mins. I finally got the courage to answer when I did I heard her mom asking why she took so long to answer as soon as she heard my voice she asked who this is and where her was her daughter. 

The line stayed quite for the next few minutes. I finally braved up and telling her that khelani was shot and now in surgery.

Couldn't mek she know seh a because a mi 

after all that she said she is all the way in Westmoreland and she is leaving out as soon as she can even though her work schedule is crazy. I tried to comfort her on the phone but it was nonstop crying.

She asked me who I am to khelani but I didn't respond I only told her that I will send someone to pick her up. I called one of my most trusted employee kevin to go pick her up.

Lanny's pov

It is now 3 pm khelani has been in the operating room from 12pm the doctors have not given us any update since some time after 1. Khelani is like my big sister my aunt adopted me from I was 15 and from then it has been me and khelani.

If I lose her now I lose everything. 

Tyquan and amelia is still having a conversation while I can't think straight. Tyquan has a really intimidating demeaner but seems like a great person. I don't think he would ever hurt her.

So who would? 

Tyrese? 

Tyrese has been missing for a couple days so I don't think so, or maybe he did that just to do this. My mind is running wild I think I should take a nap. while I laid my head my aunt called cursing me out asking why I did not tell her about khelani's situation.

Honestly I did not remember anything  

I watched the phone as the seconds go by not hearing one thing she said, I finally heard her saying that someone will be there to pick her up and take her to the hospital. 

That is a whole 4 hours drive.

I said okay and she hung up. I laid my head on a chair and I drift off to sleep.

Khelani's pov

I can't feel or see anything, I only hear alot of voices around me. A mixture of men and women

Did someone find my body? Mi dead nuh true?

I heard someone saying lets close her up there is nothing else we can do. I have no idea what is happening to me. 

About and hour later I was placed in a room I assume. I still cannot open my eyes. The doctors said something to 3 persons but I did not here what was said. I know I heard amelia , lanny and tyquan. I heard amelia and lanny cried out historically.

I can hear them talking but I could not respond or let them know that I am hearing them.

I heard the doctor say that I will be in an induced coma for the next 2 weeks if my health does not match what they want it to be so that I can undergo another surgery since there is a bullet lodge near my heart. 

Even though I can't see anything I know they are worried and that they might not leave the hospital tonight.

I stopped hearing any movement or talking for a while and I went to sleep.

Hey loves I've been busy and I am extra tired but I decided to write at least 1 chapter for y'all. I hope y'all like this.
