"I apologize for them," Eren added in, obviously embarrassed by his friends' remarks. "They mean well, really they do."

"Don't worry I know." You added in with a smile and watched Eren unlock the door to his dorm. "I've known Mikasa and Sasha since we were kids." Eren held a tight grasp on the knob of the door a firmly turned it open.

"Since childhood? Why haven't I ever met you?"

"I could ask the same thing, I've known them for years, and not once did they ever bring up your name." Eren sighed and sat on his bed. You, slightly uncomfortable with the energy of the room decided it'd be best to sit across on his work chair.

"So, you knew Mikasa since...?"

"If I have to put an exact time on it, middle school." Surprised by the timing he gave a slight smile.

"Damn wish we got introduced sooner, May have to ask her about that." You fanned your hands with a laugh and spun in the chair.

"I think it's great timing, a fresh start, new faces, it's good almost therapeutic." He laid back down on the bed with a laugh.

"You've got a point."

"Wow your finally giving the science major some credit? Intriguing." He rolled his eyes, not to your surprise, of course, more of his personality was starting to show. The bright young man had a bit of an attitude, but... so did you.

Perhaps a match made in heaven between two worlds that oppositely attract or could it be the doing of an old friend who just wants her friends to be happy?

You tilted your head waiting for him to respond.

"I'd hate to hold you any longer though, you've got unpacking and—"

"So? We can talk while we unpack? You act like we have to immediately stop talking, I'm downstairs unless you just wanna be left alone for the day?"

"It's not like that! No no! I just hate to take any more of your time." Strike one for that flag. You pondered on his persistence but decided to leave it at that.

"Then come on, I'm sure everyone is back in their dorms anyways right?" Eren turned to you and watched you head for the door. He laughed, got up from his seat, and met you at the doorway. "Right?"
