You walked down with Eren to catch the three still minglings, Mikasa gave you both a look. Eren looked down until he finally spoke up.

"Didn't know you knew her... I mean since kids right?." The sinking feeling in your stomach took control. You jerked away from your door handle and looked at the group. You watched him place his hands into his pants pocket. It's a good question you couldn't lie, but knowing the vibe of the room, you'd instead get an explanation much later. Preferably, when you weren't there.

"Oh, see I figured you'd ask that."

"So?" Eren added in and glanced over at you.

"I'll be honest, there was never really a good time for you to meet. She was always so busy." You laughed.

"Hate to agree but I was, not to mention my parents were a bit iffy on guy friends when I was much younger." Mikasa gestured over in your direction with a laugh.

"Exactly, it's not that I never wanted you two to meet, it just never clicked?"

"I mean yeah... figured as much."

"Hey, you for a while were awfully busy." Eren rubbed the back of his neck and sighed.

"Yeah... well, guess that makes sense." Eren smiled at the group as Jean eyed him for a while then gave Mikasa a 'look'. You and Eren both continued down to your dorm room as the group watched in silence waiting to hear the door finally shut.

"So Mikasa." Sasha finally piped up as she looked up from her phone. "At some point, you're going to have to tell them you planned the 'meeting' to take place." She gestured quotations around the word meeting as Mikasa scoffed it off.

"Could you be any louder, look if they found out that I played matchmaker the first week of college they will have my head." Sasha couldn't help but giggle.

"Sounds like a definite you problem."

"No shit Sherlock."

"So what's your classes this semester?" Eren finally broke the silence in the room as he watched you unpack.

"Pretty basic shit, from what I know and I'll have to talk to a counselor about it. Physics... I think a Chem and bio class... mmmm yeah! That's all I can think off the top of my head I'll probably take some weird goofy fun class to ease my mind and Y'know credits."

"Sounds like you got it all under control." Eren placed a few boxes on your bed as you gave him a smile and opened them one by one.

"I hope so. It's only the first week a lot can happen yknow." You joked and he hummed in a responce looking at the little Nick-nacks you had placed on your table.

"Say uh, since it's the beginning of the year, why don't I take you out somewhere? My treat we can go to the mall even?" You stopped unpacking and immediately looked at him with a bright bubbly smile.

"Eren... are you asking me out? Like a date?" Your tone much softer but a hint of your excitement sprang up in your voice.

"I- I mean I guess! So we can get to know each-other better-" His face now redder then any tomato you'd ever seen you saw him push back his hair. His nervousness was too easy to spot, Maybe it was the fidgety hands or his sudden quiet demeanor regardless you gave him a warm smile and finally spoke.

"This weekend is perfect, how about the Topanga Mall? It's got a lot of fun stuff there and this amazing place for fries, im sure you've been to that mall right?" His demeanor swiftly changed as what he thought was an agreement.

"So your down?" He said with a bit of enthusiasm twanged in his voice that made you scoff out a brisk giggle.

"I'm down."

"Great! Might as well start the year strong right?" you grabbed the empty handbag that you used for school books and shoved them in his arms. He was surprised to take the bag and watched you proceed with unpacking and smirked at him.

"Let's hope it stays that way."
