[8 YEAR OLD SONA's P.O.V]
"Today I'm going to see Ryu I've finally gotten my arranged marriage sorted out with my parents that if anyone wants to marry me they need to beat me in chees to do so" Sona thought happily hoping Ryu will beat her and they can be together
"Are you going to ask to trade pieces with Rias today" asked Tsubaki hoping to spend even more time with Ryu
"No ill wait for him to beat me and become my Fiancé that way Rias will have a hard time declining that Ryu should be traded to me" Sona said explaining her plan
"I see that does sound smart we don't want anyone interfering in it" Tsubaki agreed hoping Ryu beats Sona today
[TIME SKIP TO WHEN SONA AND TSUBAKI ARRIVE AT THE GREMORY ESTATE]
I knock at the door and wait for someone to answer after a few seconds Grayfia answers the door welcoming us and ushering us inside. I ask if she knows were Ryu is [its become common for use to repeat this cycle as we come to see Ryu now more then Rias] She replies that she hasn't seen him today and that he maybe up in his room she guides us to the sitting area while she goes to find him. After half an hour of waiting she returns saying she couldn't find him anywhere, just then Rias and Akeno teleporting in Grayfia asked Rias if she knew where Ryu was which she replied she had been left a message to send him out on a scouting mission near Auros and should be back either tonight or tomorrow. Which i understood and said ill be back in a few days to see him.
When me and Tsubaki went back 3 days later we were horrified to learn that Ryu hadn't returned from his mission and there were currently search parties out by Auros searching for any sign of him. [at no point did they question Rias who gave the order or why none of them were informed of it before hand] This left me and Tsubaki devastated that he could be in danger and may be hurt. Immediately i asked if there was anything i could do to help find him which Grayfia informed me that currently there wasn't and that if they found anything she would let me know personally and so the days went on until a week had passed and still nothing i was becoming more and more worried about him until a maid called me saying Grayfia was her to see me.
When I entered the room Grayfia was in I saw her and it looked like she had been crying but she had hidden it well.
"Hello Grayfia i hope this is good news" I asked hoping she had been crying from joy that they found him but sadly the next words crushed those hopes
"I'm sorry Sona but I'm afraid this morning Lady Rias informed us her Bishop piece retuned to her" Grayfia said hiding her devastation well but no as well as she thought
"No please tell me this isn't true it can't be true" I pleaded already tearing up
"I'm very sorry Sona but both myself and Sirzechs confirmed it was the piece same piece that was inside Ryu" Grayfia said solemnly fighting back tears but wasn't winning as a saw one escape her eye
After that every thing was a blur I cried for days strait barley eating at all I had lost someone that meant the world to me and I didn't know how to coupe, Tsubaki wasn't any better she shut herself away from anyone and refused to speak to anyone that wasn't me. Eventually my sister came to me asking if I was the same girl that would always talk about Ryu no stop and fought so hard to get the chance to marry him with no one being able to change her mind, I asked what does that matter now he's gone now to which she responds of a story of how Ryu had came to her and asked if he became a High-class devil would he be able to marry here without any problems, which my sister said over her cold dead body, which Ryu imminently agreed with saying even if he has to bring her sister to her knees he would marry her no matter what.
