Jimin

"Chimin, Chimin, Chimin!" My class cheers once they return to the classroom from lunch and recess, sitting happily on the foam rug shaped like an assembled puzzle. Their eyes shine brightly, smiles showing widely as they wiggle in their criss-crossed seating positions.

Chuckling, I put my hands on my hips and lean down to look at them, grinning. "Hello, class. How are you?"

"We're excited for story time!" A little girl cheers, her pigtails bouncing.

I sit down in my chair and hum, grabbing the little book I assembled with Aera. The class quiets as I read the story, the kids passing around the Chimmy plushie while listening. Story time has always been their favorite part of class. Not only does it signal the end of the school day for them, but it allows them to use their imaginations and spend time with their classmates in a calm way.

Once the story is done, they pass the plushie back up to me and all run to their cubbies to get their belongings, shrugging on their backpacks and getting into line.

We walk in a line while singing to the pick up area, the kids sitting down until their guardians pick them up or they take a bus to wherever they go after school. It takes a little while for everyone to leave, but once they do, I gather my things and hop into my car. I turn up the stereo in my car as I blast Jungkook's single for his upcoming solo mini album, JJK1. I can't wait to listen to the full album, as it will be dropping today.

Smiling, I sing along to "Euphoria

Smiling, I sing along to "Euphoria." The song is beautiful. I can't help but wonder what the rest of the album will entail. His group mates, Suga and J-Hope, have dropped solo projects already. But since Jungkook is the youngest of the group and has the least amount of writing experience, Lyghts have been giving Ryze's youngest member as much time as he needs.

I blush, looking at the unofficial photocard I have hanging from my rearview mirror. It's of the alpha with his pretty purple hair, acting cute for the camera.

He's so precious.

I yawn once I reach my apartment, heading inside where Aera is typing and clicking away on her Macbook Pro, most likely working on a project for her job as a graphic designer.

Humming, I approach her and ruffle her hair, loving how soft the split dyed pastel pink and blue locks feel under my fingertips.

"Hey, Aera. How are you?"

Her amber scent elevates the slightest and the beta looks at me through her glasses, smiling at me. "Hi, Jimin. I am good. What about you, babe?"

"Umm, great, obviously. JJK1 drops at midnight!" I hug her tightly.

She laughs. "You're adorable. Did you pre-order it?"

I pout. "No... I have to save up more to get the physical copy off Weverse, but I pre-ordered it digitally, and I'll be streaming hard!"

"Of course you will. I hope you can get a physical copy soon, babe." She squeezes my cheeks. "The love of your life will grace your ears soon enough~"

I puff my cheeks out. "Stop teasing me. It's not like you don't watch everything Taehyung is in! I saw you streaming an advertisement for a foot bath that he was in!"

"And you were streaming a fucking Coke commercial!" They shove me playfully. "And for so long, our fridge was full of pretty much nothing but Chilsung Cider."

"How much longer do you have?"

They check the time. "I have a lot more work to do. Don't worry, Jimin. I'll help you stream. Will there be a music video dropping?"

I nod and bounce. "Yessssss. I'll send you playlists! Thank you for helping me."

"It's no problem. I enjoy their music." Aera pats my head. "There is kimchi stew for you in the kitchen."

My eyes water and I place a hand over my heart. "Oh, Lee Aera, you really are an angel! Thank you so much. Kim Taehyung would be lucky to have you."

"Like that'll ever happen." She frowns. "He's straight, but I don't know if he'd be okay... with me."

I kiss her forehead. "You never know. There is a lot more that people care about than things as trivial as parts. Plus, adoption is possible. I'd love to adopt!"

She smiles. "Adopting a kid would be nice..." Aera pulls her hair up into pigtails to get it out of her face.

While she works, I go to dish myself up food so I can eat and nap before the album drops.

I sigh while eating, thinking over Aera's words. It's true that the chances of Taehyung or Jungkook liking us are slim to none, but they aren't zero. However, I can't help but feel hopeless. No matter what, though, I will support him. I don't stan him because I want to be with him. I support his artistry and who he is as an individual along with his group.
