Prologue.

❝Do you really have to leave?❞ I sobbed on his muscular chest with my arms wrapped tightly around his torso.

❝I do hate to leave you here, baby, but this is for our future.❞ Ashton whispered in my ear, kissing the side of my head.

❝I know, but still...❞ I reasoned, looking up at him with sad eyes.

❝Look at it this way, Lex,❞ he started, pushing me by my shoulders lightly and cupping both of my cheeks, ❝the guys and I will be gone for at least three years from now only coming back on holidays or just a short vacation, but remember that all of this will be for the both of us and our future family.❞

I love hearing how the both of us already planned our future together.

❝Our future, yeah.❞ I murmured, bowing my head. ❝Behave yourself, okay? I'll have Mikey, Cal and Luke look after you when you're away in California. If I heard you bringing girls home and banging them, I will fly there instantly and personally cut off your dick plus choke that woman with it.❞

❝Ouch, my poor Ashy.❞ he winced, covering the front part of his basketball shorts before giving me a firm three-fingered salute. ❝Yes, madam.❞

Ashton Irwin, my boyfriend for almost 2 years and the hot drummer of the punk pop rock band called 5 Seconds of Summer, is moving to California with his band mates after signing a contract with Capitol Records, one of the top record labels in the United States.

The band started out as just Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford and Calum Hood in February 2011, doing covers of chart-topping songs and then Ashton joined some time later in that same year. From then on, they were invited to open for concerts like Hot Chelle Rae and even released an EP the following year. They also had this songwriting trip to London and write songs with some top artists like McFly, Jamie Scott and Busted. 5SOS gained more popularity when they went with One Direction on their worldwide Take Me Home tour back in February, and now he's telling me that they will be leaving Sydney in two days for their life-long dream.

I do not want to be a nuisance and tag along with them, even though that is quite a great idea so we will not be apart from each other. If you were going to ask other people, they might say that long distance relationships are not ideal for couples, but I do believe on the saying that absence makes the heart grow fonder even if it makes the rest of me lonely. It might be hard at the beginning but I trust and love him with all my heart that is why I agreed with his decision.

❝No! Don't leave!❞ I sniffed, clinging on Ashton's arm.

He just let out a cute giggle and gave me a hug.

Each of the boys' family member is present today, biding their goodbyes and good lucks for their journey.

❝Alexis, let go of him! Dammit! The plane will not wait for anyone!❞ Michael irritably got in between us and pushed me away from my boyfriend.

❝No, fuck off, you dick.❞ I cursed, glaring at him.

❝Oh, yeah? Well then, I will put up Ash to prostitution to earn some extra cash, you pussy.❞ He shot back, pinching and pulling my cheek really hard.

❝Ow! I hope you trip on a horse dick and get pregnant!❞ I shouted in his face, punching his arm.

❝I hope you... I hope you...❞ Michael trailed off, looking around the deserted airport as if to find a smart ass comeback.

❝Ha! I win, stinky loser.❞ I teased, but immediately put back on my sad expression and engulfed him in a bone-crushing hug. ❝I will miss you, my dearest brother.❞

❝I will miss you too, my dearest sister.❞ He replied, hugging me back and kissing the top of my head lovingly.

Yes, that is right. Michael Clifford, one fourth of 5 Seconds of Summer, is my brother, though not just simply a brother. He is my other half, my younger twin brother.

❝Okay, come on now, guys.❞ Calum hollered after hearing from the PA system that they must start boarding the plane for their flight to Los Angeles.

❝Both of you never cease to amaze me. Donut worry, Alexis, I will give you every scoop I will get about Ash.❞ Luke promised with a playful grin plastered on his face, waving goodbye at me.

❝Thanks, Lukey! You're the best.❞ I said happily, turning to Ashton for a quick kiss.

I watched as the four boys disappear from our sight, before letting my shoulders sag and head towards the exit with my parents.
