A Normal Day?

It seemed like a normal day today; the sun was shining, and the birds were cheerfully chirping. Petra Parker continued walking through her school corridor, trying to ignore the looks being shot at her.

"Petra, please report to the principal's office!" The loudspeaker rang as she groaned inwardly,

"Just my luck," She mentally complained, making her way through the laughing crowd and into the principal's office.

"Petra, you were doing so well in the last term, what happened this term? Your grades are super low now, and I'm getting worried for you Petra," the principal said with a remorseful face.

Petra was fighting the urge to tell her principal the truth on why she wasn't doing well this term, but she thought better of it and decided that it would be better for her own, and everyone else's good to just lie about the situation. You see, Petra wasn't entirely a normal girl and sure she went to school in Midtown High, sure she was insanely smart, but she was also a superhero; also known as the vigilante Spider-girl. And so, she told her alibi.

"U-uh, well...I guess it was just because I didn't have that much time this semester. With the Stark internship going on and with all the lessons I have, it's kind of hard to balance it all, if you understand sir," Petra responded with slight fluency, making her alibi seem real.

"Well Petra, I wish you luck for this semester. I trust you to try your best, please try to focus more on learning, and try your best to higher your grades. I will give you permission to rest during breaks. Please try your best or I will have to commence a guardian-teacher conference with your uncle, have a good evening, Petra. You have been dismissed," The principal announced, letting Petra leave to continue her day.

Time moved on quite slowly as Petra stared at the board in science class. She already knew this subject well, she really did. And soon enough, the bell rang. Petra jumped out of her seat running towards the exit of the school, nearly bumping 5 people on her way out. She apologized quickly before continuing to run. Finally leaving the school, she ran inside an abandoned bathroom that only she and her aunt knew of, and quickly changed into her spider suit.
