"I can't believe she doesn't even trust me!" Petra thought mentally to herself, still a little sad.

She continued swinging onto where she last saw the spider abominations, hoping that she could fend off all of them. As her thoughts continued rushing, she didn't manage to sense the blob of acid currently flying at her. When her spider senses came to alert her, it was already too late. With a muffled scream, Petra came falling from where she was swinging, slamming rapidly on the slate road.

"Ugh-" Petra started before dozily trying to stand up, she felt dizzy and her back hurts so much but she couldn't rest now.

These monsters are still alive and are around her somewhere and she wouldn't rest when these things are somewhere near her. She twirled around, trying to find where the acid came from, ignoring the protests of her muscles, blaring at her with pain and agony.

"Come out you monsters!" She screamed, standing up with a little limp.

"My, my. What do we have here?" a creepy voice whispered, echoing around her in the dark.

"Wh-What do you spiders want?" She questioned bravely, trying to ignore the shiver crawling up her spine.

"Hahaha! Now isn't that interesting. The hero begging for answers? Hee hee!" The voice whispered creepily, as it echoed louder.

"What do you spiders want?! Answer the question!" Petra screamed with question bravely.

The spiders continued laughing at the hero, making fun of the girl in spandex.

"Tell me! What do you spiders want?! I am not a girl who likes to repeat their words!"

"Well, if you must know...We spiders are just trying to fulfill master's request! Hahaha!" The echoing voice continued,

"We just need to do one...Simple...thing."

"And what is the s-simple thing?"

"To overthrow Stark Tower of course! And there's nothing you or that little billionaire can do about it..."

And at that moment. Petra was struck with pain, as her spider-senses blared loudly. Screaming right into her ear and slowly, more echoes of voices erupted,

"Hee hee!"

"Haha!"

And it continued growing louder, and louder. Soon enough, the echoes surrounded the poor dissolving hero on the floor. Everything was painful, the loudness of the volumes increased, Petra continued disheveling on the ground, trying to block her ears from the painful screeching.

"Stop stop stop stop STOP!" She chanted continuously. Tears gradually fell from her face, as she gradually grew dizzy.

"Ooo! Who knew that our voices could easily defeat the amazing spider-girl! Hahaha!" One of the voices said, laughing with an obscenely shrill voice.

"W-Why are you doing this?!" The poor superhero screamed questioningly, fighting the volume of their shrieking.

"S-Stop...please..." Petra cried with plea, begging for the loud screeches to stop. But the volume kept growing louder, and this time Petra's ears did start bleeding. Her vision started to blur, toppling her senses over. Petra started to feel drowsy, as her vision continues to flicker into darkness. "Help! Anybody please!" She screamed, despite knowing that no one was coming. As her ears continued to scream in excruciating agony. And as time slowly moved on, her consciousness began to dissipate, accepting the colliding darkness as it swelled around her. And so, she finally gave up the fight between darkness.
