A chilling breeze swept across Keao bearing autumn leaves as presents, while the overcast above dims the warming effect of the golden rays above and casts a veil on the many floral arrangements that outline the walkway. Glad I brought the jacket. It was quiet. No doubt due to most of the students being in class.
Fortunately this made the small journey to Ouro dormitory swift. Standing near the entrance, near the fountain bearing a serpent devouring its tail, Keao couldn't help but to think, "Why build a building like this?" The structure before him looked more like a five star hotel than a simple dormitory for students. He could remember his first year staying at this location. During that time his room was complete with a private bedroom with a walk-in closet, kitchen, laundry room, and a balcony that almost rivaled his apartment. Overkill... Pushing his opinions to the side he entered threw the electronic glass doors.
"Afternoon sexy!" Keao recognized that seducing tone anywhere.
"Good afternoon, Lilian," he said, embracing her in a tight hug. Hair as white as snow and with eyes of cerulean blue, she was the most beautiful thing to grace this campus. Everything about her screamed temptation and he found himself wanting to taste the fruit. Sadly he knew this was a treat out of his grasp. He had already been turned down by this angel. Imagine being turned down because you're too young. The worst part, she threw him into the friend bin and continued being flirtatious. Why do you got to be into old guys...
"What brings you back here? Haven't seen you since last year?"
"Just dropping off a relative. His first day and all."
"Are you not coming back yourself?" Although he was hopeful, he also knew from her expression that it was not the case.
"Think I'm done with school for this century, hehe. Got other things to take care of." She was a busy woman. To be the same age as him and run several businesses and attend college. Everything she did made him look like a slacker. He was never jealous. Instead seeing her push forward motivated him to do the exact same thing.
"I understand."
"Here take this!" She said, throwing an envelope into his hand.
"What's this? An Invitation," he asked, turning over the tan envelope.
"Right in one! Halloween night! My little kitkat going to need some friends here so I'm hosting something to help break him out of his shell. See you there, cutie." Hips swaying she departed leaving behind the delectable scent of lavender and honey. See you're still quick to exit. "Guess that's a business woman for ya." Wonder if this relative is going to be just like her... If so, then he can expect to see many more envelopes.
Tucking the small item away into his coat pocket, he proceeded to the elevator to ascend to the fifth floor.
( Still testing out ways of using shorter parts. Next part is already prepared and will be out in two days! If you prefer longer parts, please feel free to let me know! Comment, vote, and have a nice day!)
