2 years after Found Family Ended

"Hey em? Have you seen Dotties shoes? I need her black mary janes for tonight and wow... you look amazing." JJ stopped and admired her wife. Emily was still wearing her work clothes so she was wearing a black suit and had it unbuttoned and you could see her baby bump in her red dress shirt, but only if it was unbuttoned.
"Bug is getting hard to hide." Emily laughed.
"Her name not bug mama!" Dottie giggled.
"I guess you're right Dottie, what should her name be?" Emily asked her daughter.
"Bluey." Dottie said proudly. "Or. Or. Or. uhhh 'livia!" JJ and emily laughed softly about the names.
"Alright so Dottie was Bluey after Bluey, our favorite Australian dog character." JJ laughed. "Or olivia after our favorite detective slash captain on SVU. Which we should probably stop watching now that little ears understands everything."
"You're definitely right." Emily whispered into JJ's ear. "Okay so Bluey and 'livia are on the list." Emily said to please her daughter.
"Okay growing family, we need to get going before aunt penny has a heart attack if we're late." JJ joked.
"What we are doing again mommy?" Dottie asked.
"We are going to see people light the Christmas tree at the navy yard, where mama and I work." JJ said.
"But why I have to wear a dress? Mama not a wear a dress. I don't like dresses." Dottie stated.
"What would you like to wear?" JJ asked.
Emily admired her wife and daughter at how they understand eachother so well.
"What mama wears, with the pants and the jacket! I wear dresses but no today. i no feel like a dress." Dottie said.
"Okay well let's quickly go look what you have and we will work on getting stuff you want to wear? Sound okay?" JJ said.
"Yeah thanks mommy!" Dottie said before running to her room.
"So, no dresses. You okay?" Emily asked JJ.
"Yeah." JJ laughed. "I shoulda known with her. I just don't wanna do anything wrong with her. Like I want her to have her own identity not just us, when we wear suits for work constantly. I mean I like wearing dresses and feeling girly or femme and a part of me thought she did too. I don't wanna fuck her up."
"Babe, she may still want to wear dresses but maybe not tonight?" Emily shrugged. "She may just want to be like us, I mean you said it yourself we're always in suits."
"Yeah. Alright let's go get her dressed before we're actually late." JJ said.
"What do you mean 'actually late' Jayje?" Emily asked
"I told you and basically me we had to be ready by 5:15 but we don't have to leave until 6:00, I knew something would come up." JJ laughed.
"You're a genius babe." Emily said kissing JJ. "I gotta pee, you go find our kid an outfit she wants to wear." 
45 minutes later they arrived at the navy yard on time! 
"Alright, Dottie, before we go remember that we're telling everyone about the baby tonight so don't say anything about baby until mama and I," JJ began
"And me!" Dottie said crossing her little arms.
"Yes and you tell everyone about the baby in mamas belly, okay?" JJ asked.
"Yeah! It's a surprise not a secret, secrets is bad!" Dottie said
"You're so right smart girl." Emily said unbuckling Dottie's car seat.

"Penny!" Dottie shrieked running to Penelope.
"Hi peaches!" She said picking her up. Emily smiled at the interaction. She was wearing a red beanie and camel colored coat with gloves and she grabbed JJ's hand who was wearing a black beanie and a black coat.

"Mama! Can we tell them?!" Dottie asked reaching for JJ but staring at emily.
"Oh my god." Emily laughed. "Yeah go ahead."
"Penny! Penny! Mama has a baby in her belly." Dottie said loudly.
"My super stellar gumdrop is that true?!" Penelope asked.
Emily unzipped her coat and cradled her small bump.
"Yeah, it's true." Emily smiled.
"Baby girl is due in the middle of May." JJ said.
"Congratulations mommas!" Derek smiled and hugged both of them.
"Wait what are we congratulating?" Reid asked walking with Hotch while holding his hot chocolate.
"Emily's pregnant." Hotch stated with a smile that damn near shocked everyone.
"What? How'd you know?! You were not here when Dottie spilled the beans." JJ questioned.
"I've known for a while." Hotch stated.
"You told Hotch?" JJ asked emily.
"No. I didn't. He's Hotch." Emily shrugged.
"Hey! Aaron, don't take my credit. I was the one who knew bella, I told Hotch. I wanted to make sure you stayed safe in the field." Rossi said.
"Thanks guys, but I'm pregnant not severely injured." Emily laughed. "I'm still me just with another person in here." She shrugged.
"Dottie are you excited to be a big sister?!" Penelope asked.
"Yeah. But what if her doesn't like me?" Dottie asked.
"Aww." Penelope said smiling.
"How could she not like you Dottie?" Spencer said. Dottie smiled.
"Yeah I mean you're strong and smart and have the best style! She's going to love her  big sister!" Penelope stated.
"Oh hey, they're getting ready to light the tree." Hotch said.
2 hours later JJ carried a sleeping Dottie with emily back to their car.
"Dottie's not very secretive." Emily laughed softly.
"No she is not. Maybe she'll stay that way and her teen years will be easy?" JJ said.
"I hope so."
When they were about five minutes from their house,
"oh look who woke back up..." emily said "you okay Dottie?"
"Yeah i thinking," she said emily and JJ looked at eachother and tried to keep their laughter contained.
"About what baby?" JJ asked.
"Mama was i really little like baby sister size when i was in your belly?" Dottie asked. Emily's face turned white, as did JJ's they had talked about having this conversation but not exact details.
"Mama? How'd I get in your tummy? And how did I get out?" Dottie asked and was getting ready to ask another question when emily stopped her.
"Okay Dottie, mommy and I need to talk to you about something really important when we get inside can you wait until then?" Emily asked.
Dottie sighed. "Yeah."
Once they got inside they all sat on the couch with Dottie in JJ's lap but snuggling on the couch.
"Okay, Dottie. So when you were just a little baby," emily began.
"Like baby sister?" She asked.
"No. You had been out of your mothers stomach at that point." JJ said. Dottie looked confused.
Emily continued, "Mommy found you and saved you! You were left, no you were put. Okay? You were put on mommy's front porch to be rescued. The woman who carried you for 9 months and gave birth to you loved you so much that she had to give you away to protect you... does that make sense, love?" Emily asked.
Dottie started to tear up. "You love me, are you going to get rid of me?" She asked clinging to JJ.
"No sweet girl." JJ said as emily started to cry a bit.
"Dottie, baby, we love you so much that we're never going to leave you. The woman who had you gave us the best gift ever, she gave us you. We will never get rid of you. And we will love you, always. We will love you no matter what! And we would never get rid of you. I promise." JJ stated.
"If her loves me why she put me on the porch? And, and, were she at?" Dottie asked.
"Well, like mama said she loved you but couldn't take care of you. She's up in heaven now but she gave you to us." JJ said.
"Mommy, you still my mommy right? And mama still mama?" Dottie asked crying.
"Oh always!" JJ said.
"Dottie, we love you so much! And I will always be your mama, nothing can change that okay, bug?" Emily stated.
"But what 'bout baby sister? You give her away? I want her. She my sister!" Dottie said crossing her arms.
"No baby, we're keeping her." JJ said with a smile.
"We're able to take care of her. And we want you to have a sister! Mommy and I decided to have a baby because we have so much love to give. But, that does not mean we love you less. You will always, no matter what, have a special place in mommy and i's heart. You're our first baby. And you are so brave, and smart and we need you! Nothing changes, you're still our Dottie." Emily said.
"Okay!" Dottie said lying her head back on JJ's chest.
After about 15 minutes of JJ rubbing Dottie's back she was asleep.
"Wow." JJ whispered to emily.
"Yeah, i know." Emily said with a sympathetic smile. "You handled that amazing Jayje, seriously."
"I want her to remember and to always know how special and important she is. I don't want that to change for her when baby girl comes." JJ said.
"I don't want that to change either." Emily smiled. "She's our girl. I don't know how I'll love anyone more than her. I mean I love this baby so much Jay, but like Dottie is pretty much perfect."
"I know." JJ said. "Baby girl will be too."
"Dottie is going to ask how her sister got in my belly." Emily laughed. "And she'll wanna know how she gets out..."
"Yeah, uh i say Dr Spencer reid deals with those questions." JJ laughed. "We're going to have a baby in 6 months, Em. That's crazy." JJ smiled
"I know. We're going to be prepared this time. And not be sending Derek and pen to Walmart at 3 in the morning." Emily said.
"Wild times. Dee, was so little." JJ said rubbing Dottie's back as she slept softly.
"I know, she has gotten so big. And she's so fucking smart it's scary." Emily stated.
"Alright potty mouth." JJ said. "I should go put our daughter in her bed so my pregnant wife and I can get some comfortable sleep."
"Comfortable sleep my ass. Your daughter tends to make me quite sick in the middle of the night." Emily joked. 
"I know." JJ said with a soft smile.
"I would do this thought over and over again for this family." Emily said and kissed Dottie's forehead as JJ carried her up to her room.
Later that night emily woke up sweating with a nightmare.
"Em?" JJ whispered hoarsely.  "What's wrong?"
"N-nothing." Emily said out of breathe and panting.
"No, baby what's up?" JJ asked rubbing her eye and sitting up against the headboard.
"Nightmare." Emily said subconsciously she began to run her hand over her small bump.
"Which one?" JJ said rubbing her finger tips up and down emily's bare arm.
"Reyes." Emily said and it immediately clicked for JJ, it's been 2 years since everything happened with him.
"Okay. Want to go shower together?" JJ asked knowing that, is what they normally do to help with this dream. Emily felt clean in the shower and with JJ there helped her to be in the present and know JJ was eight her.
"No, no just go back to sleep Jayje." Emily faked a smile. "Im good."
"Emily, you're a good liar but I'm not stupid." JJ said running her fingers through emily's thick black locks. "Im here for you."
"I uh. Can I tell you about it?" Emily asked JJ.
"Of course." JJ said.
"He uh, he got me pregnant. And then took our baby Jen. He took our daughter. He said there's nothing to be done I'm a sinner and it's his child." Emily said. "God I feel sick." Emily started to fidget with her clothes and breathe heavily.
"Alright Em." JJ said. "I'm going to grab some ice." JJ quickly grabbed an ice pack and placed in on emily's wrist. "Feel that? I'm here. Dottie is in her bed asleep, I just checked. And baby girl, she's right there." JJ said lighting placing a hand on emily's bump. "Here, I'm going to put your hand on my chest." JJ did as she told emily and brought emily's shaking hand up to her chest. "Okay can you feel my heartbeat?" Emily nodded. "Good. Good girl." JJ breathed out. "Can you feel my breaths in and out?" Emily nodded again. "Good, can you try to do the breaths at the same time as me?"
After 10 minutes  emily's breaths had gone almost back to normal and JJ began to speak again.
"You did so good babe." JJ said.
"I'm so sorry JJ." Emily said as her tears began to fall.
"No need to be sorry." JJ smiled and kissed emily's forehead.
"Fucking hormones." Emily said and wiped her eyes.
"I bet." JJ stated. "You okay if i hold you?"
"I'd love that Jen." Emily said.
When JJ was almost back to sleep after making sure emily fell asleep first Dottie started crying softly.
"Gotta go get my other girl." JJ said with a yawn as she unwrapped emily from her body.
JJ sat down on Dottie's 'big girl bed'
"Hi baby, what happened?" JJ asked Dottie as the three year crawled onto her mommy's lap.
"Everyone" Dottie hiccuped as her tears fell. "Everyone left." She breathed in and out quickly. "Everybody left and i was alone and and i scared."
"Oh love. I'm so sorry you had that dream. We're all here, and we love you and will never leave you." JJ stated rocking Dottie back and forth. "Would you like to come lay with me and mama? I think mama could use a hug." JJ said. Dottie nodded her head and still continued to grip onto JJ's shirt.
JJ carried Dottie back to her and emily's room and lied Dottie in between herself and emily.
