There is a great village behind the lush trees of a mountainous region where folklores look like only a small part of the tales told. The people there have their heart filled with gold and the lives they live is much peaceful than our own.

Let us start this book with the story of the township called Desmond.

"Georgia , rise up from your slumber or i shall forcefully make you do so!"

The eldest daughter of the Raymond family comes down the stairs of their house. Her eyes filled with idleness and no sign of wanting to move around.

"Mother , why are you using such language this early in the morning?"

Mrs. Raymond , who is making breakfast for the family of four at the moment , is an actress for the local theatre and spends most of her year moving from town to town performing in plays.

"I am sorry dear but i have to leave for Haymount this afternoon and i shall be in character till then and for a child with a mother who is not home often , you should be appreciative when we spend these mornings in one home."

Georgia sits down at the dinner table and starts her breakfast with some tea.

"I am always appreciative of when we have these mornings."

Loud thumps of footsteps are heard from the gravel paths leading to the Raymond's residence which startle Mrs. Raymond and Georgia.

They stay still till the lock of the house's door start jingling.

The door opens and there is the youngest of the Raymond sisters , Helena.

She was drenched and was breathing wildly , anger prominent in her eyes.

"Good morning , young one. Does a hot breakfast interests- My goodness Helena , what happened?"

Helena walked over to the dinner table and sat down. Georgia looks up from her plate and that's when she saw the state her sister was in.

"Helena , what happened?" Georgia said with clear concern on her face.

Helena held her head down and said "The gangs are back in town and a few of the boys from the Kendrick's were near the river side. I was walking through the town , looking for Lily. The gang men had put a trap for the Weston's and i was the one who triggered it , next thing i know i was in the river because a bag of wheat falling from the tree hit me."

"Did you find Lily?" Georgia asked Helena.

"Yes , i did. She's on her way from the bakery." Helena replied.

"Then I'll take care of the rest. Mother , you warm up the soup. I'll be back in no time." Georgia said as she took her shawl and went out.

"Georgia? Georgia! Where are you going?" Mrs. Raymond said while standing at the door.
