Tris POV:
I look toward the door. It's Eric. He tries to make a run for it, but Tobias tackles him. He punches him until he's unconscious. I slowly let go of the knife that split open my hand. I sink to my knees. A few of the initiates come over. Their eyes widen at the sight of so much blood. Tobias roughly pushes them out of the way.
"Six. Let me see." He says. I show him my hand.
"Stitches." He mumbles to himself. "I'll get Zeke to take over for now."
Ten minutes later, Tobias is taking me to the hospital.
"Four." I mutter. "I'm okay."
"We need to fix your hand." He says. Marlene is working today so we ask for her. She comes up to us, sees the blood, and quickly ushers us into a room. She gets a cloth and rubbing alcohol.
"Ok Tris. This might hurt. Hold onto Four's hand." She says. I grip Four's hand. She pours the rubbing alcohol onto the cloth and presses it down on my hand. It burns and I squeeze Tobias's hand tighter, but he doesn't complain. He has a worried look in his eyes. Marlene is still cleaning the wound and I let out a small gasp of pain. Tobias kneels down next to me and tucks a loose strand of hair behind my ear, whispering reassuring words.
"Done." Marlene removes the cloth. I loosen my grip on Tobias's hand, but I don't let go.
"We're going to have to stitch it now." Marlene says. She gives me a painkiller and tells me to look away. Half an hour and seven stitches later, Marlene tenderly wraps my hand in a bandage.
"Ok. I don't want you using your hand until you come back on Monday and have it checked out again. " She says. I nod and get up.
"Um, Tris-," He starts.
"I'm fine Four. It's just my hand," I say.
"Six. You may find that you can't move your hand. Don't worry, it's only in temporary paralysis." Marlene says. I nod.
"C'mon Four. We've got initiates to train." I say. I see Tobias give Marlene a look that says, she never slows down.
We walk to lunch since everyones already there. I sit down and everyone stares at us.
"Where were you guys?" Chris asks. I hold up my hand.
"What happened?!" Uriah and Chris shriek.
"Eric threw a knife at someone, and I caught it." I say. Everyone is wide eyed.
"You caught an in motion knife?" Will asks. I nod.
"I needed stitches, but I'm fine now guys. Seriously." I say, giving them a smile. I was about to dig into my hotdog, when Max announced something.
"Good afternoon everyone. This morning a Dauntless leader, named Eric was caught trying to kill a Dauntless member. He will be executed right away. Thank you for your time."
They were killing Eric? Is it bad that I feel relieved by that?
Hey guys!! So it was Eric who threw the knife and he is no longer a problem. I started an original story called, I'm Not Alone. I haven't published the first chapter yet, but I will hopefully get it in later today, if not tomorrow. I haven't started the other Divergent Fanfic yet because I want to finish this one first. (As I've said before.) Tomorrow is Saturday so I will be able to write more! Have a good weekend!
