adrinette- confession gone wrong II

ladybugs situation was just like marinettes. he rejected marinette because he told her that he liked someone else. ladybug had the same hurt in her eyes as marinette did. it then came to him... could marinette be ladybug? did he just reject marinette because he was in love with her other persona? he knew he had to find out more.

when patrol was over, they said their goodbyes to each other and chat noir waited a few moments before following ladybug. he knew he had to find out more- if he made a huge mistake or if its just a coincidence. he wouldnt know. even if he isnt able to find if marinette is ladybug, he would still visit marinette as chat noir, he wanted to make sure she was ok, even if his real self wasnt allowed to know.

chat noir spotted flashes of red bouncing from building to building. it soon stopped near the dupain cheng backery. oh no, he thought. he knew that marinette could possibly be ladybug but he didnt want it to be true!

chat noir was purched on a nearby building as he watched ladybug hide near the bakery. as she detransformed, he couldnt believe his eyes. it was marinette. it was true. he rejected marinette for her super hero side. how was he going to explain her that?! at that moment, cat noir couldnt help but to fall for marinette like how he did for ladybug. all of her amazing traits cam rushing through his mind. she was caring, kind, generous, helpful, selfless, brave, smart, beautiful. were her eyes always such a pretty ocean blue? how could he not have seen this before? he was so blinded by ladybugs perfections that he couldnt see marinettes? he couldnt see that he had her all along. but so did she. ladybug rejected chat noir because she liked adrien. but he knew that marinette liked him despite him being a model and rich, as nino would tell him. but adrien wouldnt listen! he was always so focused on ladybug! nino was right, he was dense.

after a few moments of being in shock, chat decided to talk to marinette. he landed with a thud on her balcony to let her know that someone was there. he knocked on the trap door but there was no answer. he started to become nervous. was she so upset that she really didnt want to talk to ANYONE? even chat noir???

he knocked a again hoping for a reply, but there was none. he knew he had to face her even if he was chat noir, so he invited himself in...

"oh, hi chat," marinette said. she was sitting at her desk preparing to finish the dress she forced herself to complete. she was a little surprised that he would actually let himself in her room.

"im sorry to startle u princess," he said with a smirk on his face as he bowed, hoping to change her mood

"sorry but im not in the mood for nicknames today," she said turing around on her chair.

"oh," he said, accepting defeat, "whats got u down?"

"i just...." she started, not wanting to explain her situation again, "i dont know," she finally let out.

he was a bit shocked at her response. why didnt she explain herself like she did before? maybe she didnt want to him to figure out her identity, but it was too late for that.

"well i think i have an idea," he said, he wanted to talk to her about the situation, this would be his only chance. "i heard that u got rejected by a guy that u like...."

"so... its already going around? 'marinette dupain cheng gets rejected by famous rich model adrien agreste!' that just makes my day!" she said in a sarcastic tone.

"no...its not... i was..." before he could think he blurted out, "I WAS THERE WHEN IT HAPPENED!"

'wOw!' he thought to himself. 'second BIG mistake of the day'

"huh, really?" marinette said, wide eyed. she was really shocked. chat noir went to her school? her partner? how ould he easily reveal that information? "u go to my school?"

"i uhhh... no! ahahaha! i was actually uhh.. dropping off a friend, yeh! but i cant tell u who, hehe that would reveal too much! aha i actually dropped him off and saw the whole thing happen." he chuckled nervously.

marinette gave him a weird look but sighed in relief, it did feel strange to think that she could possibly already know who chat was.

"oh! ok," she said a little shocked but then went straight back into her depressed tone, "i must have looked really dumb huh?"

"no... not... not at all! but, i do think, if u want, that u should give that guy a chance to explain himself, it looks like he really needed to."

"whats there to explain?!" she snapped, "he already told me he likes someone else and thats all i need to know on why he rejected me! ughh! i knew i wouldnt have a chance! things just never turn out right for me... always to me."

chat noir looked at her surprised at her sudden snap. he realised just how much he hurt her and it really hurt him. he didnt want her to be upset, he didnt want her to feel that she could never have gotten a chance.

"marinette..." he started, "dont say that... of course u have a chance, maybe.... maybe overtime, he will see just how much he has hurt u and-"

"and what? say sorry? sorry never fixes anything. he must really like that girl to reject me so harshly like that."

harshly? he thought. 'didnt i bring her down gently? she must have really like me if she saw the rejection a s harsh.' these thoughts circle his mind as he was thinking of what to say next.

marinette, you are amazing, u know that? so many people care for you and love u, i saw ur group of friends cheering u on. u marinette. if that guy doesnt see how great u are, then he doesnt deserve to be with u. and i am 100% sure that there is going to be someone who loves just as much as u would love them, because ur so awesome.

this eased down marinettes mind a little, she knew that chat really meant his words and was thankful for that.

"thanks chat, thank you so much, im so lucky to have you," marinette hadnt realised who she had all along, chat noir. she never really talked to adrien but chat, he was always there for her, ladybug or marinette.

"your welcome," he said. he hugged her then before he could leave throught the trap door, he said, "please princess, please talk to him."

she smiled then nodded, she knew she had to talk to adrien sooner or later. she knew chat noir was right. so she will do it, for herself and chat noir.

chat noir saluted her then left. as he was jumping from building to building, he felt a feeling of satisfaction. he did it, he talked to her. he grinned at the throught of marinette. he was glad he got her to talk to him tomorrow as adrien, everything is going to be ressolved...
