Granit Xhaka x reader

PART 9

"What, how did he know?" you asked yourself.
You didn't know how to answer so you didn't say anything back.

The next day, Arteta called the whole squad, including you to meet up to talk about the next game.

As you walked in the room, you could already see Xhaka looking at you.

"Y/N, please go sit next to Granit." Arteta told you.

As Arteta began to talk, you heard a little whisper coming from the side.

"Did you read my message?" Xhaka asked you, smirking.

"I did" you answered.

"So, you-"

"Let's talk about this after we're finished here." you said, interrupting him with a quite serious voice.

Fast forward after the meeting, you were just leaving the room when you noticed that Xhaka was following you.

"So, are we going to talk about this like adults, or are we just going to run away like little kids?" he asked you, with a very serious voice.

"I like you a lot. You're a very nice girl, you're strong, you have a great character and you're also really beautiful. I sincerely couldn't stop thinking about you during the time we weren't together. And I felt really bad for eliminating you."

You stared at him, not saying anything, only listening.

"So, do you like me back?" he asked.

"I do. It's just that I wasn't sure when it would be the right time to tell you.
And even so, am I not a bit too young for you?" -You

"What do you mean too young?" he asked "Look at Ronaldo and Georgina. 10 years age gap. And look at how good their relationship is. Do you think our relationship won't work or what?" -Xhaka

"No, you're right. It can work. But what about when we'll retire? What if you retire earlier than me, and I'll still have a long career ahead of me? I don't want to play alone...", you said with a sad voice.

"You don't need to worry about that. I'll make sure that we'll play together for as long as we can." he said, while slowly getting closer and closer to you, putting his hand on your face.

"Would you like to be my girlfriend?"

"Yes"

As he got closer to your face, you pulled him in for a kiss.
It all felt so unreal, like a dream.
You couldn't believe that he actually liked you back and that you two were now dating.

After a few seconds, you broke the kiss.

"Alright, I have some work to do right now. Take care." he said before leaving.

You then went home and jumped right on your bed.

"This can't be true, I must be dreaming" you said.

You tried to forget about what happened by cooking some food.
You felt alone and bored, so you invited a good friend of yours, Gabriel Jesus over.
You two have met multiple times and have become really good friends.
You faced him and Manchester City right the season before you joined Arsenal in the UCL and Brazil during the World Cup.

You then heard the doorbell.

"Hi Gabriel, come in."

You two sat down and talked.

"Want something to drink before we eat?" -You

"Sure, anything is good." -Gabriel
"So, what happened?"

"It's about Xhaka..." -You

"Don't tell me he got you pregnant."
-Gabriel

"No, it's not that... Wait a minute, what did you say?" -You

"Oh nothing, go on." -Gabriel

"So as I was saying... You know how me and Xhaka hang out a lot right?" -You

"Yes... why?" -Gabriel

"Well... we're actually dating now." -You

"YOU'RE WHAT?! I'M SO HAPPY FOR YOU! When did you start dating?" -Gabriel

"Today, right after the meeting." -You

"Now I understand why he was following you earlier today." -Gabriel

You two talked about that for a very long time.

"He better treat you well. I need to leave now. Thank you for the food, it was really good." -Gabriel

"No worries. But hey, can you please keep this a secret? I don't think Xhaka wants everyone to know that we're dating and I don't want him to get mad at me for telling you..." -You

"Don't worry, I'll keep it a secret. Good night!" -Gabriel

"Good night!" -You

After Gabriel left, you started to clean up and wash the dishes.
It was already getting late, so you just took a quick shower and went to bed.
You almost fell asleep, until you heard a notification.

"Hey"
"Just wanted to say good night :)"
-Xhaka

"Good night to you too :)"
