Chapter one: "I love you"
"So, I think we should go... Corinne are you even listening" uttered Ally, Corinne looked over at Ally with an apologetic expression. As the air thickened with an awkward tension Corinne was able to whisper out a small "sorry" with a slight smile. Just a few minutes later Ally went on talking about the weekend, but Corinne was wondering how to tell her best friend she was leaving to live with her grandfather. Only to make things worse she was leaving that weekend, the weekend of her best friend's birthday. "Ally, can I talk to you" Corinne was hoping she would not regret those words. Ally turned her head confused with a worrying look for her green-eyed friend "sure" she said in a voice that seemed cautiously optimistic. There was a quick silence as Corinne's eyes were watering, she let everything out explaining her situation on how she was going to live in America with her grandfather. "Why could you not tell me sooner" Ally whined in a hurtful tone with a tear absorbing into her fair skin she was genuinely hurt how could her best friend break the faith they had? They both looked at each other with sorrowful eyes Ally got up from her seat without a sound running out of the classroom in distress
"Corinne Blanchet please report to the headmaster's office immediately" echoed the speaker on the brick wall all the nasty eyes of her classmates staring into her soul. Corinne took a minute to get up as she rushed out of the classroom hiding her face from the uninviting looks, she received walking through the halls wondering what this conference could mean. As she reached the tall doors, she took a deep breath feeling like it would be her last. Her hand made its way for a forceful knock, her heart skipped a beat when she heard "come in Blanchet" she took a breath as her mind wandered with curious thoughts. Her fingertips reached for the doorknob as she used all her force to pull open the husky doors "you wanted to see me" Corinne mumbled in fear as her feet took a step into the ruff carpet of the office.
"Ahh yes Mrs. Blanchet please take a seat," said Raymond Corinne Looking up her heart still pounding she walked over to the red velvet chair. She looked around the room, it looked homey, she did not expect this from her professor. She never really talked to him before but something about him intimidated her. "You wanted to see me," she says with a curious look
"Yes, indeed have you seen Ally Martin she's missed all her classes and I heard you two were good friends," asked Raymond. Once Corinne heard those words leave his lips, she went through a full panic, her eyes shot up at him filling with tears. Once he noticed the worry on her face, he knew he had to calm her down. "I don't think there's anything to worry about how about you head to class" suggested Raymond who looked at her with soft eyes. Corinne jolted up from her seat and ran out of the room she rushed around the school trying to find her best friend. She had tears falling down her face and then all of a sudden, she bumped into someone, her teary eyes looked up studying the face of her best friend. She looked up at her with a small smile "Can we talk" squeaked Corinne with wet eyes her best friend looked at her with a disgusted face. "Last time you said that it didn't go very well" Ally answered angrily.
"It's not my fault I don't have a choice I have to go" yelled Corinne Ally looked at her with teary eyes knowing from the start her best friend did not have a choice. Corinne looked at her with regret, but Ally ran to her and gave her a hug. They just hugged each other with tears knowing this would be the last time they would see each other "I love you" they said in a union
