Part 2: A Betrayal at it's finest

"Grandmother, please just let me try and convince Aemond to come with us, we could use him and Vhagar." You say, trying to reason with your grandmother Rhaenys.

"He would never betray his family." She says she secures her armor.

"Im his family and he loves me." You say and slump on the stone wall. Your grandmother sighs and grabs your face.

"He's still the enemy." She kisses your head. "Will you be visiting the Bronze Fury today?"

"Yes, but I will be seeing Aemond first."

"Hmm, very well child." You nodded and walked away. You walked into the castle with a cloak on. You stood in front of Aemonds door and knocked. You heard shuffling behind the door and it was opened

"Cousin!" Aemond pulled you into his room and smashed his lips on yours. You held onto his arms and kissed back. He tried to push his tongue inside you mouth but you pulled back and placed your hands on his chest. He was dressed nicely for the coronation.

"Aemond." You say and take a step back. "Come with me." He looks at you in confusion.

"To where?"

"Dragonstone, help us take the throne." He rolled his eye, this was not the first time you've tried to convince him.

"No. I cannot betray my family." He says and your ahoulder slump.

"Aemond, you know deep down Aegon isn't the true heir."

"My father named him heir." 

"Aemond, you know damn well Aegon would never be named heir, not willingly at least."

"What are you saying?" He gets close to you, making you have to look up.

"Your mother was the only one in there when Viserys passed, nobody else was there.." Aemond entire demeanor changed, he grabbed your chin roughly and tugged you towards him.

"Are you calling my mother a lier?" He seethed.

"Yes, and you know she is." You shoved him by his chest and he let you go. "Please Aemond, come with me." You reached up and grabbed his face. "There will be no more war, it can just be us, we can get married, have children, just like how we talked about." You smiled up at him and Aemond melted, he pushed his face into your hand and closed his eye. He pushed his lips gently against yours and wrapped his arms around your waist. He squeezed your sides roughly before pulling back.

"Im sorry." He let you go and stepped back, you looked at him in shock.

"I see." You said and turned around and left. Aemond kicked a chair roughly then sat down in his thoughts.

You snuck into the dragon pit. You were trying not to cry at all you didn't show weakness to any of the dragons. You grabbed a torch and slowly walked deeper into the pit. Rhaenys told you to sing to him, to the bronze fury when you were ready to claim him. And thats what you did. He was sleeping but he immediately heard you approach and woke uo and growled. You dropped the torch and concluded the song, you dropped to your knees in front of him and lowered your head.

He let out a crackling roar and growled lowly again. If all the suffering you've gone through to gain trust with this dragon, you should still have your head. You glanced up and looked Vermithor in the eyes, he opened his mouth slightly but then turned his head and lowered himself down. You stood up slowly and walked towards him, he side eyed you but didn't make a move. You placed your hands on his scales and hopped up on top.

"Sōvētēs(fly)."

You saw Rhaenys perched on a building with Maelys. You commanded Vermithor to land and he stumbled quite a bit to get his footing on the side of the building.

"I see no Aemond." She says and gives you a knowing look. You look down and swallowed. "Ready?" You nodded and she took of with you following. She hit the massive building and bust through it. You watched people already scramble out. You patted Vermithor on his body hard and he went down as well, destroying more of the building. You saw the Greens, terrified. Alicent had Aegon behind her and Maelys got extremely close. Your grandmother was ready to burn them all when you locked eyes with Aemond. He knew about Vermithor, but he didn't expect you to claim him already.

Your eyes fell, begging him to reconsider but he kept his face hard. "Aemond please." You mouthed but he shook his head. You frowned deeply and looked to your grandmother who was staring at you. She gave you a sympathetic look and looked back at Alicent. She said nothing and turned Maelys around before flying out. You were going to follow but not before looking back at Aemond. He took a few steps forward and stared you down. A single tear went down your face before Vermithor took off, taking down the entrance way in the process.

You landed on DragonStone, your father and Rhaenerya were already waiting for you. She was shocked to see you on such a huge beast but your father had a proud look on his face. He hugged you tightly and whispered how proud of you he was. You both pulled away and faced Rhaenys.

"The greens are coming for you Rhaenerya, and your children."
