CHAPTER 2

"Stiles wake up!", I shot up in my seat startled." WHAT HAP-", Derek put his hand over my mouth and teased,"Honestly do you ever shut up Stiles?" He slowly removed his hand with a grin. We sat there in silence for a bit. I could just make out the outline of his face, and his crimson eyes in the pitch black of his car. he broke eye contact and looked away from me."Well lets go Scott and Allison are probably waiting for us.", I said starting to getting out of the car when I felt Derek grab my arm and pulled me back, placing me on his lap."Don't go Stiles, please just an hour or two...", All of a sudden another pair of arms rapped around me from behind, and heard Danny say in a sad tone. "Yeah please Stiles...", Wait What the F-"STILES WAKE UP!", I jolted up right at the table I had fallen asleep at in the library. Thank God it was only a dream. I noticed a scared looking Scott in my arms, putting his realed back fist down with a sigh of relief. Wait WTF!"Ohhh good your awake.",he said with a look of relief."Scott what were you about to do!?",I said with a hint of shock."Me pshhh uhhh I was stretching, yeah i'm a little sore from practice that's all.",He lied to me."Yeah right you were about to punch me!", I released him from my grasp, as we both burst out laughing."Anyways what's up?",I asked him while I started to place my things in my bag."Nothing much realy, I just came to find you.",he said with the hint of a smile still on his face."Well thanks, anyways it takes alot to take down Stiles Stilenskie!", I said matter of factly."Yeah yeah nothing a few wolves can't take care of.",he teased.He must see it everytime we face off against some creature of the night I thought to myself."Hey Scott do you ever get scared or overwhelmed? I mean it's just that I've been thinking alot about all that's happened in the course of the last year, and it just seems a little overwhelming to me at times.",I asked. I was telling the truth. Ever sense all the events that happened in the past year I learned that i'm farther down on the food chain than I originaly thought. He stopped walking due to the serious turn the conversation had taken."Well I guess but it's only when someone close to me is in danger. I'm not realy scared of what will happen to me but what will happen to the people around me.",he said with a distant but serious manner."Yeah....... I know what you mean....", I said with an understanding tone of voice." I told this councilour last year about how I always get this feeling like I'm having a panic attack to where I can't breathe. She compared it to drowning and asked me, if your drowning and your trying to hold out until that very last second... what if you choose to not open your mouth and let the water in.", Scott had turned around and was looking at me now intently listening."I told her then its just more time to be in agonizing pain. She disagreed saying that it was more time to be rescued and asked me if it's about survival then wasn't a bit of agony now worth it.", he interrupted me saying,"But what if that agony is somthing worse later?","Thats similiar to what I asked her she told me to think of something that Winston Churchill once said. If your going through Hell keep going.",I paused holding back the tears."I drove home that day and I finaly understood what she had meant. Because I would go through a little agony and then keep going through the Hell that it might put me in if it were for you or Allison or anyone else for that matter. Because right now it is about survival for us all and I would do anything to keep you all alive no matter what the price I pay is-...",Scott looked at me with more understanding."You don't know how right you are Stiles and the same is for everyone else that is in this with us..",he smiled with tear filled eyes and held his arms out for a hug which I gladly took."Scott I never suspected?",we pulled apart to see Erica with a faked fexpression of horror on her face."What do you want Erica!?", me and Scott said at the same time."Well I didn't mean to get your panies in a twist darlings, I just wanted to tell you two love birds that Derek wants the entire pack to meet at the pack house A.S.A.P.",she flashed her perfect teeth at us and dissapeared in the blink of an eye leaving a giggle that echoed in response to Scotts friendly warning growl. "Well better not keep Derek waiting.", I said tired of being in this school."Your right I'm going to tell Allison. And don't worry about me I've been needing to get a run for a while. So I'll see you there.", he said starting to walk towards Allison's parked car.Yeah you will I thought walking towards my car.
