STEREK; PLAYING WITH WOLVES

CHAPTER 3

I was driving through the winding back road that led to the pack house. The house originally used to be Issac's old home so Derek bought and refurbished it finding it suitable for our pack. Issac had no obligations he was just silent as usual when Derek told him his plans last Summer nodding his head in agreement although I don't realy think he had a say in it since he no longer lived there. I noticed my Iphone was buzzing in the center council. I looked at the caller I.D. and saw that it was Derek and quickly answered putting it to speaker."Hey Derek I'm almost there, do you need me to get you anyhting?",Ever since the end of last year when we had all joined the pack it seemed as if everyone had gotten alot closer than we had ever thought possible it was truly as if we were all one big whole."Well that depends, where are you right now?",I heard what seemed to be Scott and the others laughing in the background."I'm on the backroad to the pack house right now, maby twenty minuets till I get there but if you need something tell me and I'll turn around and get it for you.",I didn't realy mind since I wasn't in any rush to get there."No it's OK, the only thing were out of is bread so just keep going. "Anyways how are you Stiles?", the noise in the background seemed to fade and I heard the patio door bang against the frame."Nothing much I mean I'm just trying to live my last year as a human years until highschools up.... and it's time for me to receive the bite so that I can truly be apart of the pack.", there was silence on the other end. I thought carefully before I spoke this time."I want this Derek.... but if you don't want me to....", I said quietly."No it's your choice I don't have a problem with it- HEY STILES WHATS UP!", I laughed as I heard Isaac's cheery voice on the other end followed by Dereks half hearted threats in the background."I'm fine Isaac what about you?",I heard a loud creaking and a hollow sounding OOMPH following it."Haha you missed me Derek but it's good to know that you and the patio made up!", then he answered me more calmly."I'm fine just annoying Derek until you get here that's all, hey everyone wants to say hi so I'm putting you on speaker phone.", I waited until I heard everyone's voice's saying hi at once."PEOPLE PEOPLE ONE AT A TIME PLEASE.", I yelled with a smile."Stiles where have you been? It's like you bailed out on us over the summer.", Allison asked. She had ditched her family and had taken the bite so that she could be closer to Scott and as a result ended up joining the pack."I went on vacation with my dad and didn't get to tell you guys since I didn't have my phone.", I heard nervous coughing in the background and everyone started laughing and saying Dereks name accusingly."But anyways as you can probably tell I just recently got my iphone 5 in the mail.", The story about my last phone was that we had been at the beach and long story short I learned Derek could throw people like me very far if someone dared him to."Well you wont have to worry about that when you become a werewolf, trust me you will just need your mind.", Erica spoke up.I said goodbye to them as I neared the house and hung up. I just couldnt stop thinking about the new life I had in store for the next year.I saw the lights of the pack house come into veiw and as a result heard howls of glee from the werewolves that I had the honor to call my pack. I drove up to the little one story house and parked in the backyard at the end of the small gravel road. I was engulfed by several pairs of arms and everyones excited exclamations on how psyched they were that I was finaly back with the rest of the pack. After everyone finaly seemed to calm down a bit we headed inside. Our pack consisted of Erica, Boyd, Isaac, Scott, Allison, Derek, Lydia, and last but not least me." I'm going to make dinner what do yall want.", I said to no one in particular as everyone gathered around the center island to debate. After about five minuets of bickering between each other they agreed on frozen pizza."Ok you guys get out of the kitchen and let me work for now.", I ordered chuckling as I noted their childish behavior. I went up to my room and threw my bag on my bed before leaving for the kitchen again to start the dinner. I washed my hands and took out the faded apron that had all of the names of our pact members on it. They had made it for me two weeks after I had started to become the dad of the pack. Picking up and cooking for everyone while now and then one of the others would help. I chuckled as I got out the pizza from the freezer and started to unwrap it on the counter. I heard a knock at the entrance to the kitchen and looked up to see Derek smiling like he always was ever sense we made the pack."Hey, do you need a hand?",he asked with a hopefull look on his face."Um you don't have to I don't want to bother you really.", I blurted nervously."Relax Stiles just because I'm the alpha doesn't mean that you all have to treat me like the king all the time. We are all a family.", he said coming over and picking out an apron from the pantry and tying it on. He walked over and gave me a reasuring smile before picking up the box and starting to read the directions. We chatted about small things while we worked. Where I had gone, how my dad was had, I had any trouble from anyone."Why didn't you call....", he said after putting the pizzas in the oven."Do you want some coffee? I'm going to ma-", Derek inturrupted me as I turned to get the k cups from the pantry."Stiles please don't do this come on talk to me.", I stood back up when I found the K cups and walked over to the coffee machine to make me some of the french mocha blend."Stiles please I'm practicaly begging you.", I acted like I didn't hear him and kept on making the coffee. I jumped when I felt Dereks hard chisled chest press up against my back and he rapped his big hands around mine stoping my busy work."Stiles please just stop and answer my damn question.", there it was again that feeling like my heart just stoped then started again. I turned in his grasp and shoved him playfully acting like we had been wrestling and gave a shaky laugh."I needed a break it's just a little overwhelming sometimes.",I lied easily. He stepped towards me and took my hands in his. He looked at me worried and said,"Stiles if anything is bothering you, you know your allowed to tell us and we will take care of it no matter what? I need you to know that because were a pack which means were family.", I hated this feeling like I had to hide behind them and wasn't able to fight for myself."I know nothings wrong I just needed a bit of a vacation that's all.", I couldn't look away from those piercing blue eyes. My breathing was starting to speed up. His face was only inches from mine as he started to close the distance slowly."Well well well in all my life Stiles I never took you as the Bella type.", I shoved Derek away as I heard Erica's bell like voice." Well don't worry I won't tell.", she said. She turned to leave saying," I just wanted to tell you the pizzas burning." I cursed and opened up the oven grabing the pizza out and throwing it onto the counter. It was a little charred at the edges but it would have to do."Go tell the others that dinner is ready.",I ordered Derek while cutting the pizza into big slices. I heard him walk away after a minuet and put down the pizza cutter. How am I supposed to tell Derek if I can't keep my head on straight when he's near me I thought to myself. ****************{*}*************************

"Hey dad I'm going to spend the night at a friends house tonight I just thought i'de let you know.", I was exaughsted and had decided to spend the night at the pack house."Who's house are you staying at Stiles?", I quickly made up a reasonable lie and said."Scott's house, hey dad I'm tired night.","Ok night Stiles.", I hung up the phone and plopped down face first onto my bed. I was just starting to drift off when I heard a knock at my door."Come in.", I said. I heard footsteps lightly clicking around the bed then felt my bed bounce as someone big plopped down onto the bed next to me. I turned my head and saw Derek lying on his back staring at me." Uh hey whats up Derek?", I said not moving." I don't know.", he said with a quizzical look on his face."Well that explains everything doesn't it.", I teased him in a husky voice causing him to chuckle quietly as to not wake the others up. "Do you mind if I sleep in here tonight?", He was back to staring at me intently with those sharp blue eyes that seemed to gaze into my soul."Only if you get up and turn the light off because I'm to lazy.", he smiled seeming pleased with himself and got off turning the lights off. I rolled over onto my shoulder and picked up my phone turning it on so that he could see. His blue eyes reflected back a deep shade of crimson as he smiled and came to lie down next to me on the bed.
