Kinda a short chapter tbh.

"Wake up!"
I felt my body being shaken by someone and I relecuntly opened my eyes, seeing the two priests looking concerned for me.
"Are you okay?" I heard one of them ask me, and I nodded.
I was confused about what that priest meant but everything came back from what happened yesterday.....As I remember, a shiver comes down my spine at how close it was.
Right now, I was still a weakling...
"We came here and saw you like this, and I went to get some spare clothing for you." The other priest said before continuing, "Is that thing, you know...Still here."
They looked expectant for my answer, "I killed it." I stated calmly.
It was silent and the only thing making noise was the wind blowing, the two priests kept stoic faces but they slowly morphed as tears fell down their eyes.
"THANK YOU!! You don't know what it means to us." The two priests said at the same time.
"That Demon was threatening us with the kids who live in a nearby orphanage. We couldn't do anything against it."
They were crying openly and expressing their thanks, and yet I felt nothing coming, no happiness for helping, simply nothing at all.
"You're a Hero, a miracle coming straight from The Lord himself." One of the priests said while the other nodded.
A hero? I didn't feel like one at all.....Much less than a miracle...

It took a while before the two priests left, they kept praising me for my actions but I didn't really feel happy at all.
I took a shower in a nearby stream that they pointed towards before changing my clothing to the spare ones they gave me...
Right now, I was sitting near the stream looking at the water flow, and sometimes fish passed by as well.
What could I do now? Should I simply hide away and give up? I just don't want to experience feeling so close to death once more.
I opened my stats sheet after remembering that I leveled up twice rather than think further about death.
