Allison

i looked at who was calling me
it was my dad

Why was he trying to call me now? He hasn't tried to talk to me since he left six years ago.
"Allison, honey, aren't you going to answer that?" Daniel's mom asked me as I stood there staring at my ringing phone. I sigh as I hit the green button, "Hello?"I say as my breathing slows. "Allison, you're mother was in an accident you need to come home now." "What do you mean she was in an accident? what did you do to her?" i yell at him as i go to run out of the house, Daniel grabs my arm stopping me, i look at him and he shakes his head. "Allison, stop I didn't touch her. Someone broke in because YOU left her here ALONE" he raised his voice at me. "She told me not to come home, i have been waiting for her to say i can go home." "I didn't ask for your sad excuses Allison I am your father you will do as i say. GET HOME NOW." with that he hung up. "Are you okay?" Sydnie asks me as they all look at me with pitiful eyes. I just nodded at her looking at everyone with a slightly disapointed look "I have to go home." I said calmly looking at Daniel, he just nodded and walked with me back upstairs to get the little bit of stuff i had brought.
After getting my stuff and changing into my clothes Dani walked me down the stairs and out of the house. "I can drive you or walk with you so you don't have to go alone since you have your stuff." Dani said softly, I just nodded looking down at my hands which were full. He grabbed a bag out of my hands that was full of clothes that Syd said i could have, i muttered a silent thank you and started walking, following him. We walked in silence with the occasional sounds of our surrounding making us look around.
As we slowly approached my house i saw that my mom's car was there, i saw her in the kitchen window. She looks okay, what did he mean she was in an accident? "Come with me, please? my mom looks fine so i think they are planning something." he just nodded holding his arm out indicating that i can go ahead and he will follow. I walked into the house, peeking over my shoulder to see if he left, he was still behind me. I smiled for just a moment as my dad stepped infront of me. "Who the hell is that?" "my friend daniel mom told me to stay with someone for a bit i stayed with him and his sister sydnie at their parents house." i said looking at my mom who was still in the kitchen. "what happened mom? dad said you had an accident and i needed to come home, you look fine." i said as i dropped what i was holding to grab daniel and bring him into the kitchen with me. She looked at my dad then looked down, "had to get you here somehow, your mother broke her phone because she lost her job already, you and her are coming to live with me in virginia." "no." i deadpanned earning a shocked look from both my parents and Daniel, "what do you mean no? i told you i am your father you will do as i say adn you will do so with silence and respect." "mom, do YOU want to move? you were so happy to move here you looked in awe when we got to the house." "it was her idea." "DAD SHUT THE FUCK UP FOR ONCE JESUS I AM NOT TALKING TO YOU I AM TALKING TO MY MOTHER!" i yelled at him, he then did what i never thought he would do, he slapped me across the face. his angered face turned immediately into an apologetic one "Allison i am so sorry" he said as he went to hug me. Daniel stepped infront of me so my dad couldn't get any closer. i was frozen holding my face where he hit me. "HOW DARE YOU LAY A FINGER ON MY DAUGHTER" my mom screamed at him from behind me as she pulled me into her. I looked at my dad in shock, "Get out of my house." my mom said to my dad. He looked at her then me, i avoided his gaze looking at Daniel who was still between me and my dad. I pulled away from my mom and ran to my room as my dad opened his mouth looking at me as if to talk to me. I slammed my door and sat infront of it crying.
After a few minutes i heard the front door close then there was a soft knock at my door. "Ally, can I come in?" it was daniel, i moved out from infront of the door adn opened it a little bit before going to my bed and sitting on the edge with my knees to my chest. He walked into the room slowly, closing the door behind him then sitting next to me. "are you okay?" he asked softly, as soon ashe asked me that i started crying silently into my knees. I'm guessing he noticed because not long after i started crying he wrapped his arm around me and pulled me into his side. "I'm sorry that happened" i cried more with his words as he softly rubbed circles on my back with his thumb.
I woke up covered in bed with daniel sitting next to me on his phone, he was texting someone. "morning sleeping beauty" "when did i fall asleep?" I asked sleepily "about an hour ago" as soon as he responded my mom knocked on the door opening it a bit "Allison there is someone here for you" was all she said before walking away. I sat up stretching before getting up to see who was here. "Sydnie?" was all i said before Daniel walked out of my room going ahead of me to talk to his sister, he looked upset.
A few minutes after they argued their phones went off, i'm guessing it was their mom or dad because they said they had to go and they would come over tomorrow so we can go to the mall or something. Sydnie gave me a quick hug goodbye and went to the door to wait for Daniel who hugged me "I'm sorry i have to leave, i feel bad." he said sadly in my ear before kissing my forehead and hugging me again. "it's okay, i will see you tomorrow Dani." i said softly hugging him back then smiled at him before waving him and Sydnie off as they left.
I went back to my room to go to bed when my phone pinged.
Dad: I'm so sorry I hit you sweetheart, you know i would never do that. I had a few too many drinks today and I was angry at your mother for telling you to leave the house for no reason and  then letting you be gone for so long. You don't have to forgive me but i will find a way to make things right with you. I love you always.
