Side Story 4: Stress Relief

The day started like any other in the royal birb household, with the matriarch screeching like a banshee while the patriarch ignored her. This went on for quite a while before their fight awoke their child, Octavia. 

Octavia: [Muffled] "My Devil, they're so fucking loud." 

Octavia tried to drown out the noise by putting a pillow over her head. This did not work.

Reaching for her phone, she decided to call someone to make her feel better.

Octavia: [On the phone] "(Y/nnn), come here. I can't deal with my parents by myself."

(Y/n): [Over the phone]  [Yawning] "Why should I come to you, if you come over then we don't have to deal with your mom's yelling. Last time I was there I'm pretty sure my eardrum blew out."

(Y/n) didn't sound too pleased about this, most likely since he was awoken from bliss by his needy girlfriend, not that he minded.

Octavia: "My mom likes you for some reason. Come. now."

Octavia hung up the phone and decided to get on with her day. She stretched her back, letting out a groan of satisfaction as she heard her back crack. Getting up from her bed, she looked around her room trying to find something.

Octavia: "Who's there?"

She didn't know what she was talking about. She just woke up so she must still be tired. 

Octavia: "Must be hearing things."

Phew. She decided to get on with her day and washen herself up. Doing her daily necessities, like brushing her teeth? beak? Whatever it was, brush her hair, and get dressed for the day. Once she finished she decided to get some breakfast, preparing her ears for the terror that would be unleashed onto them.

As she walked down the hallways of birb mansion, she absentmindedly thought about the source of her problems recently, her mother. Now don't get her wrong, she loves her mother, I think, but she has a habit of being a very loud bird is the morning, as well as the afternoon and night as well.

The only times when this has calmed down is when her boyfriend (Y/n) has come over and either gotten her completely wasted or when he distracted her from the source of her problem, that being Octavia's father Stolas, completely.

She decided to hatch a plan to get her desperately needed sleep.

The scene shifts to the main dining room, where Octavia, her mother, and father are seating, eating their breakfast. Stolas seems to be continuing where he left of in "Imps in the sheets". Stella seems like she's about to blow.

Before she could however, the doorbell rings, making Octavia smile.

Octavia: "I'll get it!"

Octavia rushes to get the doorbell.

Stolas: "Hmm. I've never seen her that excited, she must be in a good mood."

Stolas smiled at her daughter's retreating form as Stella hums and continues eating.

Octavia returns but with (Y/n) this time.

(Y/n): "Hey guys, sorry for intruding."

Stella: "Nonsense (Y/n), you're always welcome!"

Stella was unusually happy, even visibly smiling! Something that Stolas thought was not possible. So, seeing that his wife was in a good mood put him in one as well.

(Y/n): "Thanks. So what's up Octavia, why'd you need me here so early."

(Y/n) inquired after sitting down next to Stella, pleasing her. She even shifted her chair a little closer to him, not that he noticed.
