"mu-deok!" chae-won called out when she saw the maid entering songrim with a confused expression. mu-deok saw her and formed a small smile as the girls walked towards each other on the bridge

"what's with you? is everything okay?" chae-won asked as she observed her face

"the eldest daughter of jinyowon has come back alive" chae-won furrowed her brows over the shocking news

"what? are you serious?"

"yes, i was there to accompany young lady jin to pack her things. but just as we were about to head out, lord jin-mu and the others brought her and she managed to open the gates to jinyowon. she's just like an ordinary blind girl" mu-deok explained as chae-won sighed and looked over to uk and yul who were walking towards them

"what were you guys talking about?" uk asked as they gathered at the bridge

"jin bu-yeon... she's back, and alive" both boys furrowed their brows at chae-won's words

"what?" yul exclaimed

"it's true. i saw her opening the gates to jinyowon when i was accompanying young lady jin"

"apparently jin-mu brought her back" chae-won added as uk asked

"if it's jin-mu who brought her back then... don't you think she might be suspicious? was there anything suspicious?" uk asked to his maid

"i know that i once saw her in front of the house. i remember because i picked up her cane for her"

"she was in front of our house?" he exclaimed in surprise as mu-deok nodded

"at the time i noticed nothing strange. or today, for that matter. except... she was using an umbrella as a cane, and i think i've seen that umbrella before. it's made out of expensive materials" chae-won raised a brow as mu-deok widened her eyes in realization once she remembered

"right, i remember now. it was the umbrella you lent me. the purple one, right?" chae-won nodded at her

"you're right. we gave it to so-i for her to use as a cane" yul thought for a while, digesting the news
