it's been a day since the fog was lifted by jeongjingak, the barrier going down because of someone with a so-called 'the king's star'

and it's also been a day since chae-won went unconscious

"master heo. are you sure she's okay?" tae-won asked worriedly when he saw no signs of recovery of her sister ever since uk found her. even yul who was attacked had woken up before her even though his injuries are even more serious than hers

apparently they were attacked by a soul shifter, master kang whom both yul and chae-won had attacked before. both were injured at the same time and was immediately taken out to get treated once the barrier is down

dang-gu and uk entered the room and bowed at them

"is she still unconscious?" dang-gu asked as tae-won sighed, nodding. uk went to the bed and observed the girl

"what on earth happened to you?" he muttered as dang-gu asked

"you saw her first, right? what happened?"

"i don't know either. she was laying on the ground when i saw her. i think the energy from the barrier did something to her" he said, eyes still on the girl as he sighed

"troublemaker. wake up, already. your precious friend is getting married and he wouldn't plan the wedding until you're up" uk added with a sigh, covering his worry

"yul" tae-won called out when he saw the boy walking in with hurry

"i thought i told you to stay in bed, you little-"

"how is she?" yul asked, ignoring master heo's words as he quickly sat beside her and intertwined their hands. ever since he woke up, no one said anything about her being hurt due to master heo wanting him to stay in bed and get his injuries treated

"i should get going. we need to head back today. please take care of our chae-won" tae-won said to them, bowing as master heo went to see him out

"how did you know?" dang-gu asked to yul as the trio stood over the unconscious girl
