"(Y/N)?"

"Yes?"

"Will you become my demon queen?"

You were stunned.

The tree leaves danced at his words. They blew through the air in a frenzy, unable to land because of the strong breeze.

You didn't even shiver. You couldn't. The cold didn't bother you. In this moment, it didn't exist as your eyes were locked on the man in front of you.

You blinked a few times.

What?

What had he just asked you?

Demon queen?

You tilted your head at him.

It took an additional couple of seconds for you to comprehend what was happening.

You flinched, a glimmer of fire passing through your eyes when the words finally connected.

"Muzan-sama?"

"I'm asking you."

Your eyes widened.

There was a silence.

"..."

"You want me to be your demon queen?"

"Yes."

Soon after the words left his lips you approached him. Your hands locked around his neck, holding him tightly, gripping him as if you had no intention of letting him go.

"Of course," you spoke, "of course, I'll be your demon queen."

Muzan was shocked at the sudden warmth. His hands, however, were not. They moved to hold you against him and he relaxed a bit.

He had expected that. Still, he couldn't help but feel a sense of relief upon knowing the indefinite answer. His head landed atop yours as he rested his eyes for a second.

He held you against his chest for several moments. You held him back reciprocating his embrace and it was only after a while that he realized you were holding on to him for much too long. He looked down at you.

"(Y/N)."

"Yes?" you responded in a muffled voice.

He lifted your head from his chest, "Are you alright?" he spoke his hand landing on your head.

"I'm fine," you expressed.

His eyes narrowed. No, no you weren't.

You were burning up. Your body seemed much too warm, your heart was beating faster than usual. The fierce blush that covered your face was not from anything he had said, it was a natural reaction to something that was in the atmosphere.
