(Atia's POV)

I blinked and opened my eyes. The last thing I remembered was warning my captor-the Daleks, I now realized- that he would not harm the Doctor.

He must have knocked me out. I sighed and looked over at the door.

My memories were coming back, slowly but surely. I knew soon I would regain them all.

But one memory stood out more than the others.

The Doctor. He had flown that Pandorica into the heart of the TARDIS. And I hated him for it.

He had just appeared, and whispered his story in little Amelia's ear after tucking her into bed, fast asleep.

I sat next to him, and he rose to go.

"I think I'll skip the rest of the rewind," he said quietly. The Doctor moved toward the crack in the wall, about to disappear into the other universe.

"Wait," I whispered. He turned. I quickly walked over, and snatched his hand up.

"You forgot something," I said in the same volume, and pressed in his hand the sonic screw driver. He smiled sadly.

"You won't even remember who I am tomorrow. You'll just be Grace Pond, Amelia's older sister," he said quietly. I nodded.

"You forgot something to," he said, leaned forward, and kissed me. I felt a jolt.

The Doctor was kissing me.

He was supposed to love River Song.

Not Atia Kendall.

Still, I kissed him back. After he pulled away, he whispered,

"Sometimes I wish we had just stayed on Gallifrey."

I smiled sadly.

"Sometimes, Doctor," I whispered in his ear, "So do I."
