(Atia's POV)

I rolled onto my back and kicked my feet against the bottom board of my bed. The ceiling's white blankness taunted me.

I stood up so the mattress bobbed under my feet. I pressed my hands against the ceiling, let my anger at its bareness out.

When I pulled my hands away, two scorch marks marred the white.

I leaned back into the chair, the hard back striking into my spine.

The burn marks on my swiping haunted me.

I hadn't done that in forever. I hadn't burnt anything.

And still, it felt like a puzzle piece had fallen into place.

I'm not just Timelord. I'm not just human.

I'm a little Dalek too.
