Izzy's Parabatai, Clary's Sister (Jace Wayland x Oc)

Chapter 1

Today is a big day. Today is Clary's 18th birthday and it is also the day Clary and I have a meeting with the Clave while Simon is going to be having a Star Wars movie marathon. I finish cooking breakfast and grab Clary's present putting it on the table beside me waiting for her and Simon to come into the kitchen.

A few minutes later Clary and Simon walk into the kitchen and greet me with a smile "Hey, Nat!!" I smile back at them and say "Hey guys!" They take a seat and began fixing their plates.

"Happy Birthday Clary, I got you a little something." I then hand her the gift that was sitting beside me, I watch her reaction as she opens her gift. She smiles widely at me "OMG!! I LOVE IT!!!"

I smile back at her glad that she loves the gift, it is her very first fighting outfit which matches one of mine with the exception of the vest.

"I knew you would, and now you won't keep trying to steal mine." "I should be more worried about you trying to steal mine, look at how cool the vest is, it has so many pockets!"

I laugh a little at that and so does Simon, Clary is always complaining about her clothes having fake pockets or pockets that don't hold enough.

"Are you nervous about meeting the Clave?" Simon asked us, "Not really, I've met them before, and I'm pretty sure I know what this is about but I'm not certain if it is what I think it is. Clary are you nervous?" I asked her after I responded to Simon.

"Kind of. This is my first time meeting the Clave, what if I say or do something that upsets them?" She said freaking out "Clary, you will be fine. I'll be with you and if you feel nervous just squeeze my hand and I will do all of the talking." I tell her coming up with a solution which calms her down "Okay."

"Simon, once we finish the meeting with the Clave we will join you for your Star Wars marathon unless you both want us to go out and celebrate Clary's birthday."

"While you both are at the meeting I'll watch movies but after the meeting we can go out" He said and me and Clary nodded.  "What do you say we go to Pandemonium? We can get in without ID'S the only thing you need an ID for is alcoholic drinks at the bar" I suggest to them and they immediately agree.

After breakfast Clary and I get dressed, her wearing her new outfit and me wearing my similar one.

As soon as we are dressed we go to the meeting with the Clave. Clary stayed next to me squeezing my hand the whole time notifying me that she was nervous. Sure enough the meeting was exactly what I thought it was going to be about.

The Clave thought it would be best if Clary, Simon, and myself stayed at the New York Institute to help the Shadowhunters there with all of the demon attacks since more were progressing over time and they needed more hands on deck.

They believed Simon could help by doing research into demons that we face, help us track them, and help heal us when someone is injured.

We agreed knowing it would help mundanes and possibly some downworlders and other Shadowhunters by making the world safer one bit at a time.

After the meeting we got home and told Simon what happened and he agreed with what we decided. We began to pack our belongings and get dressed for the Pandemonium.

Yes, I actually convinced Clary to dress up in one of my dresses. Simon got the easy way out and wore a red plaid shirt with some jeans, I don't have any guy clothes and I can't force him to wear a dress, believe me I would if I could.

We got to Pandemonium in my red 2013 Honda Accord and yes we got many stares. As me and Clary got out of the car and began to walk towards the line at the Pandemonium we turned back looking for Simon only to see him walking very slowly towards us.

As he slowly caught up to us we turned and before we could begin walking someone walked into Clary. And a very offended Clary and my very protective self said in unison "Hey, watch where you are going!" He turned to look at us his eyes widening as he realized we were talking to him.

He had blonde hair and blue eyes with runes all over his neck and arms. He took notice of us and looked at our arms which had quite a few runes on them "Shadowhunters.. how do I not know you?" I responded to him "Yes dumbass we are Shadowhunters, and if you think that's a good pickup line then you're wrong, you would have better luck with a 'did it hurt when you fell from heaven' one."

After I said this Clary stifled her laughter and he looked at me with a lingering stare looking me from head to toe a few times before giving a smirk, slight nod, and walking towards the Pandemonium.

Clary gave me a look that said 'I cannot believe that just happened' and I nod in agreement as Simon walked up to us.

"What did I miss?" And before I had a chance to reply, Clary blurted out "Some Shadowhunter guy bumped into us and Nat roasted him and he was checking her out."

Simon looked surprised but didn't say a lot "Oh." I turned to face Clary, "You know, you're 18 now, it's not considered child abuse if I hit you." Her eyes widen as she began walking quickly and went into Pandemonium with me and Simon laughing at her unaware of a certain pair of blue eyes watching our interaction from inside the club.
