I wake up in the back of a vehicle and look around from my position laying down. I notice Elena is beside me, I swallow gently looking a bit worried. The car stops and I pretend to be knocked out still. I am brought into a room and I shiver looking around the place. The man who brought us in began to untie us. He leans into bite Elena and I use my magic to give him a headache, causing him to grip his head in pain when a woman walks in. I release him, and he stands up and growls at me before the woman snaps at him, "Trevor! Control yourself." She shouts at him, he glares at her. "Buzzkill." He says before leaving. I glared after him before my attention is grabbed because the woman slaps Elena hard enough to render her unconscious. She turns to me before looking down almost in shame before walking away. I swallow softly and rack my mind for any way to send a message. I smirk seeing a candlelit, I pull a sharpie from my pocket and pull one of Bonnie's hairs off of Elena before I write a message to Bonnie telling her to do a locator spell to find us. I chant softly sending the message hoping she will get it in time before it's too late.Elena woke up a few hours later as I wandered around looking at all of the books and such. We wander through the house trying to figure out where we are when we come across a room where our two captors are inside talking with each other."How's the girl?""Still passed out. The witch has been looking through the books.""You didn't touch them, did you?""Give me some credit. So, you called him?""No, I called one of his contacts. You know how this works.""Did you or did you not get the message to Elijah?""They said he got it.""Wonderful and what?""So that's it, Trevor. He either got it or he didn't. "He's your worst nightmare," she tells us before walking away. Elena looks at me and I could clearly see the fear in her eyes. I squeeze her hand reassuringly, "I'll protect you." I tell truthfully her.The woman, Rose was in a room covering up the windows and I notice that she or Trevor don't have daylight rings. Elena speaks up before I could say anything, "Why are we here?" She asks confused. Rose sighs as she puts up another board in front of a window. "You keep asking me these questions like I'm gonna answer them." She says Elena looks confused. "Why won't you?" She questions again. Rose smirks, "That's another one." She comments causing Elena to let out a frustrated sigh. "You got me, okay? It's not like I can go anywhere. The least you can do is tell me what you want with me and Hesperia." She says crossing her arms. Rose turns to look at us, "I personally want nothing; I'm just a delivery service." She tells us I raise an eyebrow walking over and picking up one of the boards and helping her. "Delivery to who? Elijah?" I ask she smirks, "Two points to the witch." she tells me. "Who is he? Is he a vampire?" Elena asks us, I look to Rose. "He's one of the vampires, the originals.""What do you mean the originals?" Elena asks"Again with the questions Haven't the Salvatores been teaching you your vampire history?""So you know my brothers?" I ask and Rose looks away."I know of them. A hundred years back, a friend of mine tried to set me up with Stefan. She said he was one of the good ones. I'm more of a sucker for the bad boys though, but I digress." She says shrugging"Who are the originals?" Elena asks"Trevor and I have been running for 500 years. We're tired, we want it over. Well, she is a Salvatore witch, there is power with her." Rose says causing me and Elena to look at each other."The curse? You're the doppelgänger. Which means, in order to break the curse you're the one who has to die." She says causing my eyes to widen as my breath catches in my throat, Elena looks like she might faint.She pushes away the shocked expression when Trevor enters. "Tell me more." she pushes stepping closer to me. Trevor laughs softly, "Captivity has made her pushy, eh? What do you want to know doppelicious." He says causing me to glare at him in warning he raises his hands in mock defense. "Who were you running from?" Elena asks wrapping her arms around herself."The originals" He stated simply."Yeah, she said that. What does that mean?""The first family, the old world. Rose and I pissed them off." He says this and "Mm-hmm." Rose hums looking at him pointedly."Correction, I pissed them off, Rose had my back and for over half a millennium, they wanted us dead.""What did you do?" I ask him, causing him to look at me for the first time. Rose cuts in stepping towards us. "He made the same mistake countless others did: he trusted Katerina Petrova." She says causing Elena to nod, "Katherine." she says softly, Rose nods. "The one and only, the first Petrova Doppelgänger." She explains. "I helped her escape her fate and now I've, sorry, we've been marked ever since." Trevor states, Rose nods before meeting Elena's eyes. "Which is why we're not gonna make the same mistake again." Rose says before we are escorted back to the other room. Elena and I were sitting on the couch when we get a note back from bonnie telling us that the boys are coming to get us. Elena slips the note into her back pocket and nods to me.Trevor walks into the room where Elena, Rose, and I were already in he looked stressed. "He's here! This was a mistake," he says frantically Rose walks over to him. "No, I told you I would get us out of this. You have to trust me." She says to him."No! He wants me dead, Rose!""He wants her more.""I can't do this. You give her to him, he'll have mercy on you but I need to get out of here.""Hey! What are we?""We're family, forever." He says before someone knocks on the door causing Trevor to jump in terror. "You're scared." Elena comments I turn and look at her with an expression that could only mean, 'Have you not been listening?' Rose walks up the stairs before stopping and looking at Trevor. "Stay here with them, and don't make a sound."She says before leaving.Elena and I turn around hearing two pairs of footsteps. The man stands at the top of the stairs dressed in a suit hair neatly combed. He speeds over to us causing me to subconsciously position myself in front of Elena in a protective stance the lights flickering violently around the room. "That's far enough," I growl his eyes growing wide smelling us. "Human. It's impossible." He says before looking behind me at Elena who has tears of fear in her eyes. "Hello there." He says to her. Elijah turns around, "We have a long journey ahead of us. We should be going." He says Elena looks at Rose in terror, "Please, don't let him take us." she says squeezing my hand my voice cracking. Elijah looks to Trevor, "One last piece of business." He comments, as they talk my eyes grow wide with horror realizing he pardoned Rose but, not Trevor. "Elena close your eyes!" I shout. I hear Rose scream and look up seeing Elijah has smacked his head clean off. Rose goes to take a step toward Elijah as he wipes away the blood on his hand. "Don't, Rose, now that you are free." He says before looking at Elena and me. "Come." He says softly holding out his hand."No, what about the moonstone?" I say trying to waste time. He speeds over stopping in front of me. "What do you know about the moonstone?""I know you need it and I know where it is.""Yes?""I can help you get it.""Tell me where it is.""It doesn't work that way.""Are you negotiating with me?" He asks before looking at Rose. "It's the first I've heard of it." she says honestly. He turns back to me and tries to compel me, causing me to smirk. "Oh, you see I drink vervain every day," I tell him causing him to growl before smirking and speeding over to Elena where he rips off her necklace. I try to jump at him but Rose holds me back. Elena tells him where the moonstone is when suddenly we hear glass shattering from upstairs. Elijah grabs Elena and me and we move toward the front door. Elijah throws Elena into Rose's arms, holding me tightly. I smirk softly to myself as Damon and Stefan taunt him, he gets shot in the hand and I feel arms wrap around my waist rushing me over to where Rose is. I focus and cause Elijah to grip his head in pain. Damon takes this opportunity to stake him against the door. I can't help but stop and look him over, I touch his cheek and I'm suddenly flooded with his memories. I fall back Damon catching me before I fall unconscious.
