Loneliness has an indescribable power to instill fear onto humans. I believe there are certain things humans are afraid of, like death, inadequacy, the unknown, and seclusion. Fear is such a raw emotion, it is real, it is irreplaceable. The fear of being alone is eternally the pilot of our actions. It drives us to fall in love, to conform, to reproduce, to socialize, to keep us away from insanity. We instinctively create companionships and relationships in order to keep us away from the dark containment that is isolation. There is no way man can survive without a partner because the once we begin to feel alienated, we feel scared.
But do we ever take the time to appreciate the radiant luxury of isolation. The beauty of being utterly and completely alone solemnly frightens me. I embrace and treasure the moments where I feel insane. I embrace the moments I am in complete darkness and feel like I am loosing my mind.
