Better Days

(Zaya POV) It has been a few days since I had come home to the old Chase. He got his promotion and with that came a raise. He has been nicer and loving I missed this so much. I am always afraid it will go back to how it has been but I try to shove that to the back of my mind. I haven't had to sleep outside since that night, and for that I am thankful. It has been freezing walking to work is a nightmare I get so cold. Chase has let me get new shirts, long sleeve this time he said I earned those but have yet to earn a coat. My bruises are slowly starting to heal and I haven't been hit since the night Chase found out I got a job. Chase still is not too happy about me having a job but I think he is finally warming up to the idea. 

Today is my day off and Chase is at work it has been a while since I have seen Franklin. I make sure not to let Chase see him, I am afraid he will get rid of him, say Franklin is just stupid junk I don't need. I head outside to my little makeshift house crawling into the box. "Hi Franklin", I smile grabbing my little brown teddy bear. "I missed you so much, I'm sorry I haven't been able to visit. I just want to keep you safe you are my only friend." I lay down curling up in the ripped blanket I hold Franklin close to me closing my eyes. "I love you Franklin" I say quietly slowly falling asleep taking a quick nap before Chase gets home. 

(Kai POV) I smile to myself as I look at the now completed room for my little kitten "She is going to love it" I think "Time to call Dean and let him know it's time for our baby to come home" Dean has been telling me Zaya has seemed better. She still is late at times but we know she walks the whole way. She has been coming in with at least long sleeves and better clothing. We still don't like the fact she doesn't have a coat but that will all change soon. Dean mentioned he hasn't seen any new bruises or marks on her so that is a plus. 

I call Dean from my cell phone "Hello" I hear his groggy voice on the other end making me smirk I must have woken him up. "Well hello sleepy head" I chuckle. "I have some good news." 

"We can bring our baby home" 

(Dean POV)  "We can bring our baby home" I play  Kai's words over and over again in my head smiling big. I have missed Kai so much and now we can all be together. My smile quickly falls as I think about what I have to do now. We have talked about it, the day we can bring Zaya home. Unfortunately I am going to have to fire her.
