We arrived at the airport too late and found no trace of Black Mask and Harley. The car came to a halt and I began banging my fist into the driving wheel out of frustration. It was all my fault Harley got kidnapped, sure she could handle her own but I was afraid of Mask's disdain for Harley due to his past rivalry with Joker.

"Alright, this isn't good, and I know you're worried, but it just means we gotta move fast-"

"What the fuck are you talking about? It's over Jason! He's got Harley and he's taken her to God knows where, I'm not steppin' anywhere near'em, I can't."

"So you're just gonna bet on Black Mask, of all people, to hold his end of the bargain?"

"What other choice do I have."

"My business proposition."

"Unless you're little plan can topple an entire city's intricate criminal empires in one move, I don't think it'll help. Bud."

"We're going to rob Gotham National Bank. And kill Black Mask if we have to. I've been studying the place for months and just need help on some of the final prep work for the heist, " I thought for a moment, I couldn't even risk Mask catching wind of something like this. "Harley may be in danger but she wouldn't want you sittin' on your ass, being mad at yourself, wasting two weeks."

"Okay, I get it geez... But Jason if we do this, things in Gotham'll get even crazier, and not just with the mob either, we're talkin' FBI, we're talkin' mercs, and every other two bit thief waiting for their shot. Shit won't be pretty,"

"I know, all part of the plan really. Joker won't be able to resist the action, Batman will step in, and the scene'll be set for what needs to be done. I won't let Batman's failures be the legacy of this city," Kinda scary vague bullshit, I wasn't going to ask though, figured that was something they sorted out the three of them.

"Sounds good. Let's go home, we'll see Deion in the morning and figure out the play from there," He thanked me for a place to stay and we fell asleep the second we arrived.

That night I dreamt of Harley screaming as Black Mask tortured her, his mind set on breaking her spirit. My heart picked up as Mask mocked me to step up and be her savior. Thankfully, loud banging on my front door shook me awake.

"F/n, open up, been out here 10 minutes..." I was relieved to see Deion and opened the door to let him in, taking a quick peak into the apartment hallway. "We needa talk, OG's mad ain't no progress been made about Mask's people, and the club got shot up yesterday, lost some good people. Problem is we don't even know if it was Mask for sure, lotta talk in the streets but nothin' concrete."

I gave a big yawn, "We'll sort all that out. Listen, there's someone here you needa see. I think they're still sleeping but-"

"Deion Diaz." Jason called out, stepping out of my guest room. "Long time no see," Deion looked at him, then back at me, then sat down on the couch before continuing.

"Honestly, it's been a long week, but what the fuck? I mean resurrections? Hell's goin' on around here." D pondered.

"I know it's been a long time... But uh- you been good?"

"Yeah, just fine. And long time? Goddamn lifetime for you," Deion replied and Jason gave a weak smile.

"Alright, reunion time later boys. Jason, give D the rundown,"

"Sorry to hear about the shooting D," Jason said before filling him in on the bank, the mob's money, Black Mask's control of both, and our plan on practically emptying the safe of Gotham National Bank. "Now, the securities all top of the line but we can get a crew together to deal with the technical stuff. The reinforced vault drops deep into the ground where an estimated 2 billion sits. After we pick the place clean, the mob'll turn on Mask, and after that all we gotta do is dodge the Feds and let'em play clean-up crew,"
