We sped onto the bridge leading directly into Coral District and I navigated back to the block in Gotham Heights.

"Ayo D, we home,"

"Been up. Jason said he got news, told us to meet him at the club."

"Wait- He's at Orlando's? With the Saints?"

"Guess so. Good thing too, I don't know how our guys woulda felt about pulling a heist with a guy they didn't even know."

"Mhmm. Who do you think should actually go on the mission though? I was actually thinking 'bout cutting Red X in, he'd definitely carry more than his weight, but I guess it's still fuck'em," D rubbed his chin in thought..

"Ace for sure. Angelo's our getaway driver, easy"

"... Who the Hell is gonna drive that drill? No way you don't need a license or training, thing's a unit,"

"... Guessing Jason got that covered. Emilio in Blüdhaven might have people who work at the bank, too. That's it for now, still don't know how many people we already got into this,"

My car pulled into 6th Street, birth place of the gang and my childhood neighborhood. It was a struggle but I always loved living here, it gave me the type of education you could only get in Gotham. I also loved coming back because these days I was a superstar, people in the area loved and respected us and I gotta be honest, it felt good being in a place where you were seen as the hero. I parked in Deion's driveway and he went inside his house to drop some stuff off.

"Yo! F/n and D are back!" Jace, one of the youngins in the neighborhood called out. My car was then swarmed by a squad of teens at the local park, alongside everyone else in the immediate area. I got out of the car and waited for Kai, knowing he was surely among the large crowd.

Kai's the little brother of an old friend of ours who got killed, he was working to join the Saints and avenge his brother. You could say I took him under my wing but for now I felt he was better as my eyes and ears directly into our own backyard. He eventually emerged from the crowd alongside some friends he ran with that also did work for the gang. The kid was 17 and a rising star, he moved more weight than guys twice his age and experience, on top of that he was gearing up for me to take him on a real mission so he could do some wet work but I was a little anxious. Your first kill was always the worst, the one you had nightmares about the most. Least for me.

"What's good, Hood," One of his starstruck friends greeted

"What's good, Hood," One of his starstruck friends greeted.

"S'up," I responded, "Kai, walk with me to the corner store real quick," He nodded and followed me as we began the short journey to the bodega, the crowd dispersed but a few of the older folk in the neighborhood made sure to have some words with me about neighborhood concerns. We managed to slip away from the questions and stormed off.

"What's the word, give me a rundown," I said.

"Shit, good to see you too F/n."

"My fault lil bro. Y'all know I been outta town but I didn't stop thinkin' bout home, I just been worried,"
