Shell-shocked

Daisy had noticed Luigi had been acting off lately. This has been going on for a few weeks, so Daisy decided to confront him. The green clad Italian was sitting alone in the living room when Daisy entered. "Hey Luigi? I think I need to talk to you." She spoke. 

"Is something wrong?" He asked.

"Well.. I've noticed you've been seeming off these past few weeks, I wanted to see if everything was okay."

Luigi paused, "Y...Yeah, everything's fine, don't worry. Luigi's just tired." 

"Luigi, we've been best friends for five years, I can tell when you're faking it." Daisy said worriedly. Luigi went quiet. 

"Luigi...Luigi might like a certain monster.....who.....might be a certain enemy of Luigi's brother." He said slowly after a moment. Now it was Daisy's turn to pause, she stared blankly at Luigi as she processed the stuttered words that were just spoken. 

"Bowser?" She asked, "You...you might like bowser?" Luigi looked away and gave a hesitant nod. 

"I'm...not completely sure but.." 

"While I will love and support you on your queer journey, I will not support that journey if it's with Bowser." Daisy said in a playfully teasing tone. Luigi looked a bit worried by this comment. "If you do like bowser, I'll support you fully, I was just trying to lighten the mood a little bit." Daisy quickly explained. Luigi gave a light chuckle but clearly wanted out of the conversation. "Here, why don't we go for a walk at the park? Some fresh air would do you good." Daisy suggested. Luigi nodded and the two got ready to go.

Shortly later, they got to Bowuigi park. The two walked together for a little bit talking about this and that when they ran into Bowser. He was sitting on a bench watching his son, Bowser Jr, playing on a jungle gym. "Why don't you try and go talk to him?" Daisy suggested. Luigi quickly shook his head.

"nononono." He said. 

"C'mon, it might help clear your head on how you feel about him." Daisy encouraged. Luigi stuck to not confronting his crush and began leading her away. Had they looked back, they would have seen Bowser and Bowser Jr having a similar conversation. 

After a bit of wandering Luigi and Daisy turned a corner and bumped into Bowser and his son. "Oh we're sorry!" Daisy spoke, Luigi shyly hid behind her. 

"It's alright!" Bowser Jr said cheerfully. He subtly pushed his father a bit closer to Daisy and Luigi. Seeming to notice this, Daisy stepped out of the way and moved Luigi a bit towards Bowser. 

"Let's go get some water Bowser Jr." She said, the child nodded. "You two wait here. On this bench. Sitting together." Daisy said to the other two. "We'll be right back." She added before quickly leaving with Bowser Jr. 

Once they left, Luigi and Bowser awkwardly sat next to each other on the bench. Bowser fidgeted a bit with his claws while Luigi just looked at the ground. "So...how are you?" Bowser asked after a long silence. Luigi panicked and blurted out the first thing that came to his mind. 

"Yeah bro, I'm doing just groovy dawg."
