As Bowser was getting ready, he found himself getting nervous despite the fact that this was not a date It was just a hang out between close friends. Friends. Nothing more. And it wasn't like bowser wanted to be anything more then friends. Right? This would never be anything more than friends... Bowser couldn't understand why he found himself feeling more and more disappointed by that thought.
Why did this upset him? Why did he find himself wanting more? Something more than friendship...would such a thing be possible with Luigi? Bowser was torn from his thoughts by an excited Bowser Jr. "Are you ready for your date dad?" He asked.
"It's not a date." Bowser said, though it was more to himself. Junior just smiled and nodded with a giggle.
"They should be getting here any minute now."
"I know, I'm almost done.." Bowser said, adjusting his tie one last time. He was dressed in a simple shirt and suspenders yet felt there was so much room for error.
"Relax, you look so girly pop right now dad." Junior spoke.
"Girlie pop?" Bowser asked in complete confusion. Junior laughed and rolled his eyes,
"You look great dad, your not-yet-boyfriend is gunna love it."
Bowser flushed, but before he could scold the child, a koopa walked up and informed them that Luigi and Daisy were there. Bowser eagerly went to go greet them with Junior trailing behind.

Luigi was shifting from foot to foot fidgeting with his green sweater vest. "Luigi, chill." Daisy laughed, "Everything is going to be fine."
"Does-a my breath smell bad?" Luigi asked her. Daisy quickly held a hand in front of her.
"No. Stop. You're fine, calm down. It's going to go great. Besides, it's not technically a date, so you don't have to worry as much." She said. Luigi nodded.
"Not-a date. Not-a date.." He mumbled.
A moment later, Bowser opened the door. "Hey." He said as greeting.
"Hiya." Luigi replied. Immediately, Junior pushed this dad outside the castle and dragged Daisy inside.
"You two have fun!" He said before closing the door, leaving Bowser and Luigi outside. The two stood in silence of the sudden happening. Bowser turned towards Luigi and lead him away from the house. His hand went up to rub the back of his head as he thought of what to say.
Now that Luigi was here, Bowser was starting to feel more flustered and wasn't quite sure how to act. But determined to keep his cool he regained his composure and lead Luigi towards a beachside café.
"I've been here before with Jr. the view of the beach isn't half bad either." He cracked a nervous smile. Luigi followed behind Bowser contently, he hadn't gotten quite used to Bowsers dazzling smile.
"I bet it is nice place." Luigi replied. Bowser responded with a simple "Mn." in agreement and the silence that followed wasn't awkward nor pressuring. The two walked together along the beach as the sun slowly hid itself.

The café was small inside but Luigi could see why Bowser often visited it, they ordered their drinks and after a small bout with the payment Luigi finally allowed Bowser to pay. He snuck a quick look at his face and although Bowser wasn't smiling it was obvious he was happy.
The pair walked out of the shop with their drinks in hand and leaned over the railing to the beach. Luigi started to panic of what to do next, he wasn't sure if he should say something or continue the silence. However, Bowser was the one to break the silence first.
"I- Uhm how have you been these days?" Bowser wasn't quite sure why he was saying such things but as soon as he saw Luigi in the dim sunlight all of his breath was snatched and he was desperate to make a connection.
Bowser was aware that such a feeling was unlike him causing more turmoil within. Luckily, Luigi saved him from his fit of confusion and admiration.
"Well, A-you see lately I feel Mario has been on edge. He's been real bad and I think it has something to do with Peach." The words spilled out of Luigi's mouth and he was slightly scared. He mentioned Peach, someone Bowser once had a connection with, no one actually knew what was between them, but it was no lie that they were close.
However Bowser had no notable reaction, he simply nodded as he listened to the words Luigi said and watched the mouth they came from. He thought things through over and over in his head. There was no doubting that Bowser was in fact interested in Luigi, without much further thought he stepped towards his companion.
He was close enough for Luigi to know what would come next, but far enough away for Luigi to stop him if he so wished. However, Luigi had no such desires, to show that he too took a step towards Bowser. Because of the drastic height differences this was as far as Luigi could move on his end.
Bowser knew and he bent down slowly setting Luigi's drink to the side and gently taking his hand in his. He moved closer until their lips were inches apart.
