I'm surprised I managed to find fanart for this ship- but anyways. Paxel is the romantic relationship between Petra and Axel. To be honest, I have very mixed feelings.

For starters, I don't ship Paxel at all. I hc Axel as gay because Axel being gay is so real to me but I could understand why people would ship this. Axel has shown to care deeply for Petra as seen in episode 1 where he constantly brings her up, worried about her wellbeing and if she's okay or not.

Axel is also the one to help her in a Block and a Hard Place. Petra was too sick to walk and Axel tries to help her walk safely and risk getting into danger himself. We don't know how Petra feels about Axel however because it's mainly Axel being worried about her.

It's ashamed we don't get enough of scenes with these two because I think Petra and Axel have a very unique relationship. Petra is strong, a lone wolf and has trouble making friends while Axel is goofy, laid back and don't have as much trouble making friends because he has Jesse and Olivia.

So dynamic-wise, I really do like it, I think it's unique and cute but character-wise, I don't like it all that much because Axel in my writing is gay. I also think it works better in a more platonic light because not only do we need more media of the opposite sexes being friends and friends only, but I think Petra's best partner would be Jesse. As for Axel, I ship him with M!Jesse so.. polyamorous relationship I guess.

Platonically: 8/10

Romantically: 1/10
