"Nice of you to join us, shank."

Newt walks in front of me, trusting me to walk behind him so I do, not wanting to lose his trust. I look at all the Gladers, they are staring and whispering at me while I'm walking behind Newt. I speed up closer to him, feeling awkward walking with everyone staring at me. I didn't see Minho anywhere at all, that's weird, right? I keep walking closely behind Newt, and soon get to the homestead.

We walked to the very top floor and to the room that was farthest down the hallway. Newt knocked at the door. "Come in," Ably says and we walk in. I'm looking at the floor, to embarrassed to look him in the eye. "Newt I need to talk to Dylan alone please." Alby has a deep voice "Oh, ok then." Newt says as he walks out the room.

"Dylan, I'm going to be as nice as possible to you because I believe you are here for a reason. So this is how it's going to go, I'm going to ask what happened and your going to tell me the truth, then I'm going to ask Newt to come in and see what he saw." I'm still looking at the ground but I nod. "Ok," I respond still looking at the ground scared that if he sees my face he might think I'm lying. "So what happened?" I start sweating by instinct.

"Well I was in the dead lands thinking about everything, like the tour, then I got up and started to the kitchen to see if Newt was there, but than he came up to me and led me to the bonfire. Minho came up to us and started talking and then I spaced out for a little bit. Then Newt said he wanted to talk to me, so I started to head over his way but someone grabbed me and started to spin me around then they led me towards the music. I started to yell at him to let me go but no one heard me. So I was trying to find something to help me out but I saw his knife, so I took it and I stabbed him. I'm so sorry I wasn't thinking. I was scared. I'm sorry."

My eyes begin to tear up. "Is there more?" Was the only thing he responded with. He didn't seem to care at all. "Um yes. So after I stabbed him I ran into the barn and on the loft I started crying there then I heard Newt and Minho come in there looking for me, I didn't say anything because I was ashamed of myself for doing that. So after they walked away I went and ended up sleeping with the sheep."

I take a deep breath before talking again, trying not to cry. "When I woke up someone named Winston was there and he talked to me about last night, then he wanted to bring me to you but I barely knew him and I just now met you. So when he grabbed me I started to scream and yelling at him but I couldn't escape so I bit his hand. He let me go, and than I went to run again but when I came out everyone was standing outside and that's when you came." He looked at me like he was thinking. "Please go out and get Newt then stay out in the hall." He whispered so quietly I could barely hear him.

I nodded before walking out of the room to see Newt sitting on the stairs. When he heard me he looked up smiling but than he saw my face and it faded. "What's wrong Dylan?" He asks, I couldn't answer so I just look at him and say, "Alby wants to talk to you." He got up and walked into the room leaving me out in the hall. I start to cry but I stop myself not knowing who was around. I just sat there looking at the ground, hoping whatever was coming wasn't bad. I slowly drift off to sleep, being emotionally exhausted.

*Newts point of view*
As soon as I walk in and shut the door Alby looks up at me like he was thinking. "So Is she telling the truth?" He asked "How would I know it's not like I was listening," I lied. I was listening to the whole story and I felt bad for Dylan. She was just scared. "Newt I've known you ever since you've come up from that little box just a scared little greeny . So slim it, I think we both know you were listening." I almost chuckled because I knew it was a hundred percent true.

"Ok fine I was listening. And yes that's the truth as far as I heard but I didn't know about anything in the barn because you know, I'm not her." I rambled on. "Ok please bring Dylan back in." I went to go get Dylan and when I got to her she was sleeping on the stairs her hands holding her face and looking down. I lightly shook her awake, she awoke with a startle. "What happened?" She asks and I laugh "Alby wants to see you." She got up and I follow her into Albys room. "So what you said was true and I'm kinda surprised because usually it takes a few times."
