Flashback:

Sherlock handed Anabelle a diamond necklace. "What?" She stared at the detective in confusion.

"I don't know what you like. I just picked one randomly." Sherlock shrugged. "... Do you like it though?"

Anabelle smiled as she wore the necklace. "Of course, it's beautiful." She smiled as she kissed him on the cheek.

Sherlock sat in his chair, recalling past events. He didn't want to, but the memories just came flying by like a hurricane.

Why did she have to be the bloody murderer? Why...? We were perfect... I know for a fact that good things don't last forever... but why?

My brother used to tell him that caring is not an advantage. Maybe he is... right?

"Sentiment, Sherlock." His brother's voice ring in his ears. He covered his ears in frustration even though he knew it wouldn't help.

He didn't want to think about it. He didn't understand why is he still thinking about it. She's a a murderer, a killer, why would I care about her?

"Sherlock!" A voice suddenly interrupted his thoughts.

John was reading the newspaper while sipping his cup of morning tea. "Sherlock!" He called his friend as he pointed at the newspaper. "Have you seen this yet?"

"What about it?"

John showed it to him. "This is the case we've been working on!"

"Mysterious boy solves robbery case " Sherlock glanced at the newspaper and read the headline. There was a blurry black and white picture attached to it, it was said that the boy ran away from the crime scene after solving the case and the photographers didn't manage to get a clear picture of him.

John kept quiet for a while as a thought came into his mind. "Do you think this could be...?"

"Michael."

Michael panted as he came back to June's house. "Where were you?" June sat at the dining table, enjoying a bowl of noodle soup. She just came back from school and was eating her lunch.

"I was..." He quickly made up a fake excuse. The Elizabeth Tower came first in mind. "Just visiting the Big Ben."

"Here." She handed another bowl of noodles to Michael. "I just learned a new recipe from YouTube. Is it... okay?"

His eyes widen as he took the first bite. June bit her lip and looked a teeny bit disappointed. "Never mind. I was trying new things anyway." She muttered.

"It's delicious!" He took another bite. "Are you sure it's your first time using this recipe?!"

June smiled. "Thanks."

UNREAD TEXT MESSAGE:

I've got a new case. -Lestrade

John and Sherlock called a taxi and headed to the crime scene. "A bullet shot." Lestrade pointed at the lifeless body. It was a teenage boy, probably 13 or 14 years old. He was shot yesterday evening when he was home alone.

"His name is Riv. His parents almost fainted when they came back home. Poor guy." Lestrade kept talking on and on about the victim.

"Doesn't seem like suicide." Sherlock went close to the body. He turned to the inspector and sighed. "This is just another boring case."

"It isn't the first time the murderer had killed." He explained. "Riv's friends were also murdered before him. It's the murderer's 3rd kill."

Sherlock examined the body. "The murderer you're looking for is surprisingly a kid, probably going into his teenage years. From Riv's eyes you could see that the victim was shocked and scared when he saw the murderer, but there's also a hint of surprise- surprised that out of everyone in the world it was HIM- so he knew this murderer.

It was a really clear shot so the kid must have somehow managed to break into the house to kill him. He is also very smart to cover up some of the clues before he left, so there are hardly any leads to the murderer. *sighs* He would make a great detective if he doesn't end up in jail first."

Sherlock stopped for a while to summarise everything he said. "So it's a kid with incredible intelligence, in fact smarter than an average adult, and is also good at aiming-"

He froze for a while as he realised what he had said. He looked at John, who also seemed shocked. "...Michael."

June's mother heard a knocking on the door as her daughter and new-found friend Michael were eating lunch . "I'll get it." She slowly walked towards the door.

"Sorry to disturb you, ma'am. Is there a boy named Michael around here?" It was a deep and serious voice that was unfamiliar to the woman. June realised the weird man standing at the door and came to her mother. "Mom, who is this?"

"The police." He flashes his badge. "Do you recognise this boy?" He showed June a young picture of Michael. "N-No." She tried to hide her shock that her new friend was wanted by the police. She tried to buy some time for Michael before he gets captured.

Michael suddenly stopped eating the bowl of noodles and went towards June. He was surprised to see a man at the door. He quickly observed the man and immediately knew what they were here for.

Shit.
