Chapter 1 - Departure
Florida (POV)
"I'm so bored..." I whined. We were sitting on the couch. I didn't feel like doing much and Zordon blocked all our electronics so we wouldn't rot our brains or whatever while he was in his lab doing whatever Zordon does...
Arizona nodded in agreement. "I kind of wish we could do something more fun."
"Yeah." We sat there in silence for a few minutes, and I was trying to think of stuff to do. I could tell Arizona was thinking the same thing.
"Hey, it's lunchtime!" Zordon yelled from upstairs. I sighed, getting up slowly from the couch. He prepared like a month's worth of food so we could bring food up to him and feed ourselves, and I felt like this wasn't very "Zordon-like" of him, but it didn't matter.
"Get me a bowl too, will ya?" Arizona asked from the couch. I mean, I couldn't blame him, I was feeling lazy too. I microwaved the ramen noodles Zordon made last week that had today's date on them and separated it into three bowls. One for me, one for Arizona, and one for Zordon. I gave Arizona's to him and walked up the stairs to give Zordon's to him.
"Zordon," I knocked on his door. "Come out, I finished your noodles."
"Hold on," he said, and I rolled my eyes. He opened the door after a minute and grabbed the noodles from me. I tried to peek at his work, but He wouldn't show me. He blocked the door and slammed it in my face. I let out a big breath of air I'd been holding in and walked back down the stairs. Me and Arizona ate our lunch on the couch. It was so annoying that Zordon got rid of our electronics. The only thing he didn't disable was calling and texting. Even YouTube was disabled for some reason. It was a loss for both of us, but more for Arizona because he had a YouTube channel.
"Hey, do you want to jump on the trampoline or something?" Arizona asked. "I'm so bored..."
"Sure," I said. We went into the kids-only room and Arizona stepped on the trampoline, but then he said, "For some reason, this just doesn't feel right, you know?"
"Wait a minute," I said, stepping up onto the trampoline. "You're right, it doesn't feel right. What are we doing again?"
"I don't even know anymore..." Arizona responded, getting off the trampoline. He started typing in the safe password where all our brownies were and he offered me one, but then I got an idea. It would be a nice surprise.
"Hold on Arizona, I have an idea," I said, rushing up the stairs to my room. I could tell he was confused. As I got a piece of paper, I was debating on whether or not to tell Arizona. It would be a nice surprise if I didn't tell him, but at the same time I felt like he might find out anyway and it would be useless to try to come up with this on my own. I couldn't decide.
"Hey," I said, coming down. He offered me a brownie, so I took it. I sat down and he asked, "What was that idea you had?"
"I'll tell you later," I said. I felt satisfied with my answer until he asked why later. I didn't know what to say, so I said, "Well I might try and surprise you with it."
"Way to ruin the surprise," he laughed.
"Thanks," I said. As I ate my brownie, I again debated with myself. Is running away really a good idea? What if we get bored there too? Zordon would kill us if he found out...and we would only have a few hours because we had to give him food and stuff. If we did this, we would have to move fast. Or else Zordon would find us, and I have no idea what would happen to us if Zordon found out...
