Sometimes I want to be
I've never felt foreign in my own skin,
like this body was made for me from day one.
Well, I guess it was.
Sometimes, I wonder what I would look like if I were anyone else.
I can imagine my body and my hair,
my skin tone and
The way my voice sounds,
But I can never imagine my face.
Some days, I wonder if I'm actually a woman.
I know I am,
but sometimes it feels like that's not enough.
Some days, I wish I was a man,
Like my body will magically change one day.
Sometimes, I wish I was nothing,
That I didn't have to have these labels.
But I know I am a woman.
there are times when
I wish I could be something that no one else could be,
that I could be something I wanted to be,
not a woman or a man but just me.

18 times
Sometimes, I read what I write
over and over again,
Wondering whether they're my emotions,
So, gracefully layed in between each line
or the ones I make up in my mind.
I guess that's what happens when
my imagination overlaps
so much on my reality.

<Okay so I'm going to start emboldening and underlining the titles for the poems, though not all of them will have titles just,
cause 🤷🏿♀️
Also 18 times and sometimes I want to be are separate but i thought they went together so ya.
Also fun fact: 18 is one of my favorite numbers.
Have a good day, evening, noon, afternoon, or night🙂😊>
