Summary- Alex and Perrie decide to have a little bit of fun their 4-year-old son Freddie with Alex dressing up as Santa and pretending that Perrie really was kissing Santa Claus...

Alex's POV-

So, obviously at Freddie's age, he still believes in Santa Claus (and also really likes anything to do with law enforcement)-

(I actually still believe in Santa at the age of 16, do you think that's immature?)

- so me and Perrie decide to play a little prank on him which we are hoping is not going to ruin his entire Christmas. Perrie bought me a Santa costume with the beard and everything and she has planned that she's kissing Santa Claus, it sounds horrible to be doing to a little kid but again, hopefully, this won't end too bad? Freddie has a habit of getting out of bed and enjoys sleeping with us then in his own bed so this could work quite well.

"Okay, buddo. You need to go to sleep or Santa won't come this evening..." I carry Freddie to his bed, kissing his forehead. "Mama will be in to come and kiss you night-night in a minute, she's just dealing with your little sister."

Perrie wanders into the room after dealing with Lily, our 7 month old daughter, who's hopefully fast asleep now.

"Did I hear my name being called? I came for the good-night kisses!" Perrie gives Freddie some tickles before kissing his forehead and tucking him into bed.

"Night, dada. Night, mama." His eyes already seem to droop and in a split-second, he's fast asleep.

You can definitely see who he got that from

As soon as we know that he's asleep, we head downstairs to the cupboard and I get into the Santa costume, hanging up some mistletoe and then just wait for Freddie to wake up and walk into our bedroom.

2 hours later, we can hear movement upstairs from Freddie's bedroom along with little footsteps into our bedroom.

"Dada! Mommy! Where are you!" We hear his cries for us before we begin to hear him wandering down the stairs so we get into position.

Seconds later, we hear him in the living room and we just hear him drop his teddy bear on the floor before running upstairs to 'snitch' on Perrie.

"Dada, Mommy's giving Santy-Claus her cooties!" He yells as he bolts upstairs to 'find me'. I quickly remove my costume and I head upstairs to find him standing there in the hallway, panic across his face.

"Buddy, what's with the shouting?" I bend down to our son's height to which he runs and hugs my legs.

"Daddy, Mommy was giving Santa cooties!" He tells me out of panic, I lift him onto my hip.

"Was mommy giving Santa Claus cooties?" I play along, acting like I'm clueless while trying to not burst out laughing.

"Yeah! Cooties!" He points towards the stairs.

"Shall we go and see if Santa is still downstairs with Mommy?" I ask him and he nods his head and I carry him downstairs to find Santa's snowy footsteps across the carpet and Perrie standing there looking suspicious.

"Were you sharing your cooties with Santa?" I begin to interrogate Perrie, us both trying to not burst out laughing. "Detective Freddie told me that he caught you and Santa sharing the cooties..."

"No, I would never!" She pretends to be offended and we can both see the growing smile on Freddie's face.

"Detective Freddie and Detective Daddy are going to investigate this suspicious activity so we are going to need you to be in another room so the masters can do our work..." I pretend to be serious and Perrie walks out of the room where we left the Santa costume.

"Where should we investigate first?" I ask Freddie and he points to the obvious snowy footsteps so we pretend to look for clues when Hatchi comes and tries to figure out what's going on, obviously having just woken up.

"Hatchi can help the look, Dada!"

"Detective Freddie, Detective Daddy and Detective Hatchi. The dream team!"

Hatchi obviously sees Perrie in the Santa costume because he immediately starts barking and Freddie follows the clue to see his mommy as Santa Claus.

"There he is, go get him, buddy!" I put Freddie down and he runs over to 'Santa Claus' and scares Perrie before I hand him his pretend handcuffs and cuff Perrie up.

"We did it! We saved Christmas!" Me and Freddie both cheer before I easily pull the handcuffs off Perrie and she takes the beard and the hat off.

Freddie begins to laugh his butt off at Perrie in the Santa costume and she lifts him up and we all laugh.

"How about we all go night-night and see if Santa comes this evening?" I suggest and we all head off to bed with the happiest little boy that I've ever seen.
