Chapter eleven

Hogsmeade was full of students, running around into stores spending the money given to them from their parents. (y/n) found it hard to squeeze through in honey dukes with just three small bags of mixed lollies. Samantha was huffing through the crowd with a large pile of maybe everything the store had.
When (y/n) stepped aside to let Samantha buy her things. Galicia and Kate were already outside when they came walking out.

"You got enough there?" Kate snorted staring at the almost-bursting bag she held.

"What you think I'm just gonna let a thirty percent discount go to waste." She held up a licorice stick in victory taking a rather big bite before grinning wildly. "Come on let's go to zonkos next." Galicia didn't like that idea. It was clear from the small disgusted look on her face. "Oh calm down Galicia we don't need to buy anything just have a look." To this Galicia sighed.

"Okay alright. There's bound to be something not destructive right?"

But the moment the four of them walked into the room Galicia just managed to dodge a flying freebie. Which of course had been banned from Hogwarts for years. Samantha held onto (y/n) stifling a laugh as did (y/n), Galicia gave them a glare.

"I might wait outside. Don't be too long ok." Nodding Galicia went outside by the front door leaving the other three to look around. (y/n) picked up some sort of small black ball, only once she picked it up did a flame burst in her hand. It wasn't hot but warm, it shocked her for sure and it nearly dropped out of her hand. After the initial shock (y/n) smiled placing it back down.

"(y/n)." It was a whisper of her name, Samantha she found after looking for a moment was behind a large stack of boxes, all labelled as screaming yoyos. Arching an eyebrow she walked over confused.
"Can't see Kate can you?" Samantha asked and (y/n) leant back seeing Kate talking to a Gryffindor girl.

"She's on the other side by the register. What's this." Samantha stopped her from talking leaning in all the more.

"How do you plan to get away?" She whispered to (y/n). She must have been talking about the date with Fred, it was almost time for them to meet but after all and if it wasn't that she was talking about (y/n) would have no clue.

"Well, I uh planned to just stay back while you all left." Samantha scoffed shaking her head.

"Those two will suspect something. Galicia already talks about how odd you've been and Kate she may not mind so much but if they get talking we'll both get a talking too." Samantha sucked in a long breath. "I booked a table for us at Madam puddifords tea shop. You'll say you have a study session with George and need to head back. Don't worry I'll get you a strawberry tart. Then I'll just make sure we stay clear of the three broomstick's not that Kate will want to get in there anytime soon." She talked so quietly and fast (y/n) almost missed half of what Samantha was talking about.

"Right and if they bump into George at Hogwarts?" Samantha bit her lip.

"We could go to the great hall for the afternoon by the fireplace. Besides what're the chances they know if George they'll probably think he's Fred. I've got no idea how you tell them apart, either way, I think it's a great plan." Well, It was better than what (y/n) originally thought and it wouldn't mean an investigation from Galicia later on. Kate popped her head from behind the stack of screaming yoyos.

"What the hell are you two hiding for?" She asked and Samantha awkwardly laughed.

"Oh I was just thinking of getting Nosebleed Nougat but (y/n) was talking me out of it." Kate laughed rolling her eyes.

"Thank Merlin for that. Come on Sam aren't we meant to be at the tea shop? She did tell you we were going?" Kate said to (y/n) as they walked out of Zonkos. No extra bags in hand. Samantha nudged (y/n) raising her eyebrow for her to tell the lie.
