It was the very next day that (y/n) received a letter in the mail, an owl came flying in looking rather excited and kept zooming around in circles above (y/n)'s head once it dropped the letter just missing her jam toast.

"Oh, who's the letter from?" (y/n)'s mother called from the kitchen while (y/n) flipped it over. it had a quick handwriting that she knew instantly. It was George's handwriting. (y/n) was about to stand when holding herself back. It would be rather odd to hurry upstairs without warning.

"I think Kate? Or Samantha. Maybe I left something. I was thinking of visiting Poppy today. I'll just get changed. Come on." (y/n) wasn't sure of the name of the owl so she raised her hand letting the bird nibble on some bacon left on the table.

"Oh alright, dear. Let me know when you want to leave." Walking upstairs to her bedroom the bird almost bounced out of her hand a few times it flew around the moment she passed the doorway.

"Cheery thing aren't you." (y/n) gave it one last piece of bacon while sitting down to see what the letter was about. Slicing it open swiftly (y/n) pulled out the letter inside.

'(y/n) are you free today? Mum's not letting us out of her sight this holiday after the letter from school we got about the exploding powder. But we're going to Diagon alley with dad just meet us at the bookstore before lunch.' It was written so fast she wasn't sure how to read all the words. It took a few rereads to understand. Before lunch? What time was that? Poppy's shop wasn't far from Diagon alley. That's how Davis and Poppy met. So she could sneak off from there for the day. Mum wouldn't know a thing.

Folding the letter and tucking it away (y/n) sent the bird out her window to get ready.

"I'm off now mum." (y/n) spoke going to the fireplace with a small backpack over her shoulder. It took some time as always to pick an outfit. Her long brown checkered skirt was to cover herself from the brisk day outside. Fixing a scarf over her neck her mother popped her head out from the kitchen.

"Alright, send my love to Poppy will you." Nodding (y/n) left for Diagon alley which was the closest floo travel to Poppys bookstore. Patting down her skirt in the small room (y/n) ventured out into the busy alley. Maybe she should have a look at the bookstore before popping into Poppy's shop. Weaving her way around the crowds of people and venturing to obscure books wanting to see perhaps something new to read. But only just as she reached the door was there a shout behind her.

"Fred, George don't run off!" Frowning slightly when hearing the names (y/n) knew it had to be at least an hour before they met up.

"(y/n)." They both called out and right in front of her was Fred and George grinning.

"Hello." She smiled stepping down the entranceway to the store and making sure to move aside for people going in and out. "Got here early?" She asked and the twins snapped their heads back to their father.

"Your mother told you to stick by me." It was their father. Not aware of his name he went from frowning at his son's before his face softened seeing (y/n).

"I told you these two will never learn." (y/n) knew who that was. Percy, a few years older than herself, she knew he did rather well in school and was head boy.

"And who's this?"

"Oh hi, Mr Weasley I'm (y/n) (L/n)." She smiled extending her hand which he shook his gaze drifting between each twin.

"Oh please, just Arthur will do. Are you in fred and George's year?" He asked and Percy pealed his head from behind George's high stature.

"Yeah, she's the girl we helped on the train." Arthur gasped head turning quickly back to (y/n).
